          1. Rebuild magazine.
          2. Buy M1 carbine
          3. Use legitimately found, rebuilt, hi-capacity magazine.
          4. Lather, rinse, repeat.
          5. Enjoy.

Havent shot it in a few years because of that. To all you other guys who know about these things, is there anything that can be done to then to make them run more reliably?

              I found a few beater rifles buried on my property a while back but I turned them into the police.

                My guess is that the previous owner figured the police would never look for the murder weapon where he buried it. A rototiller never figured into his plans.

                      If the original owner had coated it with Cosmoline (Cosmoline is our friend) the the op would have a perfectly preserved jam-o-matic.
