This is simply happening too often, to too many people, with clear-cut situations such as current CCWs or other simultaneous DROS apps going through without hiccup that clearly convey they are not a prohibited person, with unique/esoteric names that have no chance some prohibited person has a like and kind name for the same address, with that data captured off the magnetic strip on the DL, who have lived at the same address for years, have DROS'ed dozens of guns over the past several years and even up to recent months, never even somuch as a parking ticket in more than 10 years to have caused alarm - all without this nonsensical 'delay" subterfuge - for it to simply be case of 'undetermined' on identity.

This fecal laced hostility from Glock-blocker Bonta is becoming too common to have any merit or credibility.

Think 'House UnAmerican Activities Commitee' but in reverse; the Communists are using abuse of power to attack Americans.

They will continue to do this and increase the frequency of doing it until the CRPA signals an inquiry, or until they are flat out sued for abuse of power, civil rights violations, and underground gun control.

THE WHOLE DAMN HUGE # OF DELAYED BS

      IS A GUN CONTROL SCAM.

Getting a delayed determination letter. Telling you to do what YOU ALREADY PAID the BOF to do. WHICH IS A BG CHECK RELATED TO FIREARMS

Is ludicrous. Might as well word the letter honestly.

      From the desk of The Dishonorable Ca AG Robber Bonta;

      Dear citizen,

Thank you for the $37 donation to our BOF DONUT FUND. SORRY WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO THE STATE MANDATED BG CHECK. THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR.

So, how about you, Do YOUR OWN BG CHECK. And pay for it out of pocket, ... AGAIN. And let us know what the result is. Or we will just keep SCREWING YOU OVER, AND OVER, BECAUSE WE CAN.

Yours Truly; The Dishonorable Robber Bonta.

Doesn't matter if some alleged criminal has your exact same name. He or she doesn't have your same driver license number, state ID or social security number. That's why ID numbers, driver license numbers, social security numbers were invented to distinguish between all the John Smiths and Jane Smiths of the world. But apparently things don't work like that in the California DOJ.

No legitimate government or government agency in the modern world uses only names to identify people. It's total stupid BS. You are guilty simply because you may have the same name as someone who might have committed a crime. They don't bother to check anything else. Or more likely there isn't any criminal with your same name at all they just lie to you as an excuse to not approve you.

I noticed that I'm going to call them that is the one he told me to use if it's wrong I guess I'm out the $50.00 for the first scan..

If I were you I would request a refund since they gave you the wrong info that's on them. If they refuse then do a chargeback if you paid by card and explain the reason to your bank because that would certainly be a valid reason for most banks. I would never do business with that place again if they are that incompetent.

That was the entirety of my point; it's why the DOJ's notification letter that expresses the name issue as a primary reason is full of crap.

All of this is going to come to a head soon, and all at once, as they are overdoing their abuse of power with this delay/undetermined ruse, combined with the CCW PPI release, ignoring proper actions in the advent of Bruen, passing gobs of new nonsensical Anti-2nd Amendment legislation - the levee is gonna break.

I just got off the phone with the DOJ agent he told me I submitted the wrong form and I to need to submit the form 1911-CV pointed out AB165 firearms record review. The agent told me once the live scan has been submitted to wait until I receive a notice from them "snail mail" letting me know there findings then if nothing came up I should be good to go. I also told him I was told to submit the other live scan form he said sorry they have some newbies working there .
time frame to here back from the DOJ around 30days but they have been getting a lot of request lately.

You know it's bad when ... you get more accurate information from the Internet than from the people actually working there...

Well, was just bit by the dreaded delay bug. Purchased on 7/18 and notified 7/26. So now on day 6 of the delay. Received the same canned letter from the DOJ on 8/2. During the delay I was able to buy ammo, so no issue there.

One interesting thing is that I was in my LGS today and they showed me a huge stack of delays, clearly frustrated. Said they're seeing at least one every day and it was impacting their business...I don't doubt it, since I also learned for the first time that they don't release on an undetermined. So I'll be looking for a different FFL if possible.

This thread has been very helpful albeit a bit discouraging.

Same as mine Day 6 or 7 I'm just waiting for my live scan to clear. I still say this is the states new form of gun control.
