Turner's Outdoorsman, specifically Fountain Valley.
I have had a CCW for 7 years. I have an 03FFL and COE. There is no reason to delay me.
I'm on day 17. I will never shop there again after this. I had no idea this was such a problem until I read this whole thread.
The manager gave me some bullsh1t speech about me committing a crime with the stupid .22lr rifle I have in DROS hell.

Day 66 update! Still undetermined, won't release to me. Also stole 50% of my money with their ridiculous restocking fee. If you want to gamble your money away I'd suggest at least making it fun instead of doing business with BRECO FIREARMS in Clovis.
13 years of my business down the drain. BRECO FIREARMS is dead to me.

Stupid Turner's won't even release a 22 rifle.
Turner's in Signal Hill told me to come in to the store to refund my card since my DROS came back undetermined July 5 for a Browning .22 pistol. When I got there today the same manager tells me they don't refund by credit card even though that is how I paid for the deposit. He said they will mail me a check in a couple weeks.
That sounds shady as hell. I've done dozens of returns in the past with other businesses but never heard of any store making you wait that long for a refund. They always refund back to the method you paid in the full amount.
I never even touched the product since it was never released to me so there is no excuse to hold my money.
It's bad enough I had to wait 30 days for nothing now they want me to wait another two weeks for my refund?? Screw that! Ridiculous. How do I know they will even send me anything, or if it will be in the full amount!?
I'm not waiting to find out I'm going to start a charge back through my bank.Comment

From what I've heard I'm starting to suspect Turner's may be selling guns they knowingly don't even have in stock.
Allegedly so they can make money on fees and will give some shady excuse for why they can't give you a full refund
even though the gun they sold to you was never in stock.Comment

Hopefully its not true but wouldn't be surprised by how they treat their customers.
When you call they tell you one thing on the phone but when you get in the store a few minutes later they tell you something totally different. The first time it happened I chalked it up to maybe just an honest mistake but they did it at least three times to me. They lie like its nothing. I didn't think people could just lie so brazenly. Is it lying or gross incompetence? Either way is just as bad.Comment

Of all the dozens of members coming into this thread alone. Complaining about getting screwed by the illegal acts of unscrupulous FFLs who refuse to release on undetermined status.
Yet only ONE HAD THE NUTZ to stand up to, and sue the BASTARD.

Maybe the FFL never even filed the DROS who knows, or they made up the numbers.
Since there is no way at least that I know of for us to go online (ie: DOJ website) to verify our DROS was actually submitted, then that could leave room for abuses.
If we have to depend on the FFL to tell us if we are undetermined, denied, approved, etc then they could tell us anything they want. No way to verify it but correct me if I'm wrong.Comment
