Sorry buddy, from your post it sounded like you were a crazy tweaker four years ago

Getting caught with one adderall pill is not really uh... well, it's very very different than being arrested with a bag of meth!!

Anyway, good luck, I guess it wouldn't hurt to apply.

AZ is a shall issue state. https://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/03112.htm

Note that it doesn't say "unless you smoked a joint at the Guns N Roses concert in 1984". It also doesn't say "unless the Sheriff doesn't like how you look or smell".

Admitting to smoking marijuana long ago will not and cannot preclude issuance of or application for a AZ CCW. And there is no interview process for CCW in AZ, so I have no idea who told him he would not even be considered. I got AZ CCW without ever speaking to a single person in AZ. So he either made the story up, or someone tricked him with FUD.

First of all, being arrested and/or charged is not the same as being convicted. After all court proceedings have concluded, if no conviction arises then no gun rights are taken.

Next, a conviction on CA PC 11377 (possession of meth) is a misdemeanor unless the person has been convicted previously of serious or violent felonies, in which case it is a wobbler. So for most people even a conviction does not erase your gun rights, so long as you are no longer using the drug, you have completed probation etc.

There are prohibiting misdemeanors that restrict gun ownership rights for 5 to 10 years, but possession of meth is not one of them:

And often times a defendant can enter pretrial diversion (CA PC 1000) for 11377 and have the charges dropped and sealed before any plea or conviction.

        Heyyy,

Quit coming in here with learned facts and substantiated and cited relevant jewels of truth.

        I mean to say,

        Whaddya think this is?

        Anyways ?!?!?

Pretty sick! Every one of us is a sinner & has things in our past we aren’t proud of....even if we weren’t caught!

Oh! Well except for YOU, OH PERFECT ONE! Very “Liberal Democrat” of you there chief!

To the OP, I recommend moving to a REAL state. Your plan to move to Az is fantastic! Lived in Tucson for several years, and is still my favorite place on Earth! I live in Pa., one of the MOST gun friendly states! If you can own a firearm, you can have a CCW! Walk into your county Sheriffs Dept., fill out 1 page, pay $20 and take a picture. 2 weeks later you get a letter in the mail that says “Cone pick it up”! Or I can open carry if I want...with or without a CCW. This is how it should be NATIONWIDE!

Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

Ah, the Pocono Mountains......wild blueberries, silver mines, black bears, the old family homestead next to the lake, and a neat history. Thank you for the pleasant reminder.....

I dont know enough about the OP's offences / convictions to offer an opinion but I understand and share desire that criminals and people with bad judgement not be given CCW's or own guns.

This pollyanna belief that everyone should have guns is very representative of many on this site and clearly suggests the liberal /progressive accusation that "we can not be trusted to police our own" is not far off base.

I ate horse meat in foreign countries, I don't think it's legal in USA though.

I do not believe in the infallibility of the state, far from it.. but you clearly have no issue giving the OP a CCW despite the OP's "past established pattern of illegal behavior" as evidenced by his arrests and convictions in his "recent past"...and that's only the behavior he was caught at. Never once, to his credit, did the OP claim that he was falsely arrested or accused. The US military would never admit the OP , nor would he gain employment in any number of industries / positions that require employees be bond-able but given that you are an omniscient being who knows the OP would never recede back into his old ways, you KNOW society should take a chance on a CCW because again, given your omniscience, you KNOW nothing ill will come from it. You will have to, in your omniscience, look to the past for guidance to the future, especially when dealing with deadly force.

Others can and do have issue with it and have every right to opine on that here...

                            Cheers.

With his proven use of narcotics and record of perjury, I dont think so and I think the drug use may prevent him from firearms ownership.
