I have used Ammo Bros 1 time.
Guy drove from Escondido to Ontariovto PPT a shotgun to me.

Took 1.25 hrs and they would not let him leave until I had paid for the DROS.

Went to pick it up and another 1.5 hrs later, I finally left with my shotgun.

Have never been back for any reason.
Plenty of places that want my business.

I can buy a new gun or on roster gun anywhere so they don't really offer what I mainly want that would make me keep coming back. As they become larger and more corporate they have become Turner's lite in some ways. Extra unnecessary by law CYA paperwork as but one example making the process slower.

But they must be doing something right as they keep expanding as Turner's has been also.

So how did they accept the second lock from Walmart, wouldn’t the receipt print out exactly as the first one they didn’t accept?

I recently did a PPT where the original locks were not included and I didnt realize that until we were at the store to start DROS. They charged me for a lock and I balked at first because it caught me off guard, but quickly came to terms with it. The amount of BS paperwork required in this state is not offset enough by $10 IMO. This was a small store, so, I'll support them with a lock sale.

I have a feeling one day Walmart is going to say no more returns on locks.

Turners is making me buy a lock for my stripped ar lower.
I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.
              (Non caps intended)

                Why would they do that?

I have the same feeling. At that point, I can buy a new lock from my buddy with receipt.

I have been to OC indoor range and they are indeed a fast and fantastic shop for PPT.

I buy ammo and accessories from these little shops to support how pleasant they make the transfer experience. I won't buy JACK from Ammo Bros.
