Put soda cans at 50-60 yards.

Shoot them with your 9mm pistol.

Put out a fresh batch at the same yardage.

Shoot them with a 9MM PCC with an inexpensive red-dot.

Time yourself on both shoots taking out all 10 soda cans each time.

This is the same philosophy of use for which the US designed the M1 Carbine.

"but... but... but... if I want a long gun... couldn't I just carry a full-on rifle?"

You certainly may, if that suits you better. But there's something to be said for being able to keep your ammo and in some cases magazines standardized to a single caliber. Are you going to be shooting over 100 yards? If yes then you probably need an actual rifle for that job. There probably aren't too many people here who only have one gun.

            Enjoy your freedom to choose.

I, for one, couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Also, my wife felt very comfortable shooting it, which is not the case with my shotguns, AR's, rifle caliber lever-guns, etc.

She can shoot (physically tolerate) every long gun that I own with decent accuracy, don't get me wrong... but there's nothing other than my 10/22 that she feels "comfortable" shooting.

I seek to acquire one. However I've spent so much money on firearms and ammo recently that the lovely mrs. Is not too keen on the idea.

later today I'm planning on finally taking my PC Carbine to the range.

I really hope magpul makes a backpacker stock for the PCC. I have their 10/22 takedown backpacker stock and it's really cool. when taken down, the two pieces snap together into a compact package that can easily be slipped into a backpack and the stock holds extra mags.
                  my Benitez goes to 11

Agreed. That's what I'm hoping too.

BTW, Definitely post up your range report.

Well, always one to be late to the party, i finally plunked down some change on a PC Carbine.

                      Couldn't pass up DGM’s $489.99 pricing.

Yeah, the flyer came in the mail and i could sense, almost immediately, the money leaving my bank account.

Best price i’ve seen in these parts.

LOL at the guy who said he bought one and then sold it without even shooting it. This rifle is just flat out FUN.
