I bought one then came to my senses and sold it before I even shot it. Its a solution to a nonexistent problem. There is not one single real life self defense scenario where I would prefer a pistol caliber carbine to a 5.56 or 7.62 carbine or even a 12ga shotgun. Not a single one. I dont care if its 9mm, .357, .40, 10mm, or .45. No pistol round even comes close to the ballistics of a 5.56 or 7.62 rifle round.

Wow - I never thought of it that way. That's it - I'm going to sell one of the neatest, funnest, carbines I've ever owned.

I like to think of my Ruger PC carbine as a California legal, featureless MP40.

Same with me; after firing a new one, I prefer the older model I have owned for over 25 years. Even though I have a 10/22 Takedown, I don't see the need for a TD PC9. The only plus with the new one is that it can take my 33 rd Glock mags. I have 1/2 dozen of the Ruger OEM 15 rd ones, and thankfully Ruger and MecGar still makes 'em.

Well, the 9 ammo is cheaper and has a flatter trajectory as compared to the 45 due to higher initial velocity. Figure 150 FPS velocity increases with either out of a carbine.
There is no .45 PC Carbine, so that's the end of the debate.

Of that comes to pass, I'll get one in .45 ACP to compliment my Glock pistols. The 9mm version I have works very well. Steel-cased Russian ball ammo is no issue. It is very accurate with Federal 147 HST.

I didn’t say there was a .45 PC Carbine. I was answering his question about 9 vs 45.

This lady shoots! I just love when guys try to give "advice" to my wife, then she proceeds to put a ragged hole where the bull was. They often kinda pack their stuff and move discretely away so their crappy shooting is not so obvious.

So, how did you learn of this? Word of mouth, magazine article, internet, dream? I don't doubt you, I just want verification.
