I bought the hi-point 9mm carbine at the end of 2016 before the AW ban took place and my shooting buddy just got the ruger. IMO, The hi-point is not as easy to handle for the ergonomics but has much more recoil. I couldn't tell a difference for accuracy with me shooting (both seem very good at 25yards). I do greatly prefer the use of glock magazines.

One big advantage for the hi point is how useful it would be as a heavy club! Both guns seem like they are built like tanks which I always tend to like. if you lived in a free state the hi point is about half the cost and both are kinda ugly IMO.

On the fence about getting one but if the rumored 10mm conversion kit becomes reality it will be a no brainer for me!

I really like the glock mag feature. I think it's a great little gun with red dot. Ruger really knocked it out of the park with this one. Probably one of the best guns to come along in a while..IMO of course. I'm looking forward to the model that uses 1911 mags.
I don't think I would call it lightweight though.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Also I hope someone makes a stock with a longer length of pull. I was checking one out today, and it felt like a kids gun when I shouldered it.

I made a mistake showing my wife this video, after watching it she wanted a PC Carbine herself.

                    9 vs 45

Well, the 9 ammo is cheaper and has a flatter trajectory as compared to the 45 due to higher initial velocity. Figure 150 FPS velocity increases with either out of a carbine.

I really like my PC9! Added the Taccom mag well, larger mag release, larger bolt handle. Just got comp to put on. Fun gun to shoot! Lot of new aftermarket parts coming available. Just saw a new forend, and new attachment for accessories.

I agree with Nut N Fancy's review, it's a great recreational range gun, but not something for serious use like Go to WAR rifle, just a fun gun

it's on the heavy side for a back pack gun if you plan to carry it for long hikes.

It comes with spaces to lengthen the LOP. You can buy more if you need it even longer.

I've had mine for several months, it's a great little pee shooters. It NOT lightweight, but I'm sure the aftermarket will respond soon with lightweight barrels and stocks.

I love mine, I also agree with NutnFancy regarding weight. I have the Hi-point in 9mm and prefer the Ruger. I use it with Glock mags without issue. I would also like one in .40 to match my other Hi-point and the .40 Glocks I own.
