Just saw on the news our neighbors to the south( Arkansas ) is offering concealed carry classes to residents so they can carry in some previously gun free zones . Cuddos to them .

Actually if you look at the map of counties that issue it is the majority of the state. Just works out to be, not the counties where most of the people live.

So everyone in California that isn't a felon can get a cc on request and get free classes and carry anywhere .Wow I didn't know that .

First...nothing is free.

Yes, most of the State of California you can get a ccw. Just not in the large populated cities/counties....L.A., Frisco ect.

The problem is, you have to live in one of those ccw friendly counties to get one.

Definitely, not free. It’s actually quite expensive to get a ccw in my county, when you add all the fees & training costs up. In fact, it’s pretty much cost prohibitive for poor people.... I think I was around $500 total the first go around. Its obviously cheaper during renewals

Things are slooowly improving.... Just in the past few months, San Diego county (pop. 3.4M) went from light red to yellow. While that is not a shade of green, it is a change in the right direction and gets them halfway to light green.

The average law-abiding citizen in Sac and OC can get a CCW and OC is the 3rd most populous county (>3M).

Then you learned something today. Yes, everyone who is not a prohibited person and "of good moral character" can live in CA and get a CCW. They might have to relocate in CA to do so but, they can do so while still living in CA. Of course, not everyone who is "not a felon" is also not a prohibited person. I don't know of any state where felons are the only prohibited people.

Do you realize that you are spouting the same nonsense that the state has been claiming? That the 2A wasn't being denied as it is available in many geographical areas, while pro-2A advocates point out that most of the population is in the counties in which it is difficult or impossible to get a CCW.
