Wyoming has more registered guns per capita than anywhere else in the U.S. Per every 1,000 residents there are 195.7 guns. I always liked it. I've worked all over the state, lots of mining.

Last time I was in Montana I saw a gentlemanly looking man on a Harley Davidson, open carrying a 1911. He stopped at the same gas station and I was probably the only one who looked!

There are NO registered guns of any kind in Wyoming, except whats in the PD and other LEO or .mil inventory.

EDIT: The surveys about who owns how many guns is just complete crap. No one knows. Not even in CA. They can guess and make some ASSumptions, but thats it. In Wyoming there is no limit on how many guns a person can buy, or how they may sell them other than when buying from an FFL.
If you are a Wyoming resident and build a suppressor and engrave/stamp it "made in Wyoming", then your legal in WY. It is not at all unusual to see a suppressed SBR in the window rifle rack driving around Wyoming and no one cares at all.

Heck, the Governor of Wyoming came out to the Wyoming Governors Cup match in his ranch clothes and hung out with us shooters, watched a side match/shootoff, spending time with a bunch of guys with guns everywhere, and no security other than the off duty LEOs that were helping with the match. Not sure you will see that kind of behavior from your man Brown.

Fear is the spare change that will keep you broke

Call him run-like-hell-when-shtf-guy or dial-911-guy but NEVER call an unarmed man "Security".

No one could have snatched his gun from behind.
          I was standing behind him.

It does kinda bug me when I see OCers wearing the fashionable friction-fit or plastic snap-in holsters.

With those, it's all too easy to snatch a gun before the wearer even knows there's someone behind them.

                  Carry responsibly.

I typically wear a leather belt slide with a snap, but have worn Bladetech, LAG, and Safariland kydex. Never felt particularly at-risk, although I did switch to using mostly Safariland ALS or GLS holsters when open carry. Turns out when you wear a gun driving around in a car all day it can work loose in the holster and can find its way out.

Good example of not keeping a gun in your back pocket lol, but that has nothing to do with open carry...

Gun was visible, he became target

Open carry = gun visible, you become target

Spoken like someone who has never open carried. I OC quite often- literally daily when I am in TN or CO, I only CC when I have to go somewhere with metal detectors- and have never been a target of anything. MOF I know a lot of people who OC pretty much daily and they have never been a target either.

ETA: I have been guilty of carrying in my front pocket in a pocket holster, but never the back pocket, that is just not smart. I feel the same way about people who tuck thier CCW in thier belt or waistband right over thier nuts.
