I was in Subway in Dyersburg, TN and there were 7 guys open carrying.
Then I recalled seeing a "Corrections Dept" van in the parking lot.
(I hope they weren't hungry escaped inmates)

I haven't seen any since the OC law went into effect. Since I have a TX CHL/LTC, I can't think of a good reason I'd want to open carry. To me, open carry negates the advantage inherent in carrying concealed. JMO

Interesting. Moving to Payson, AZ in 2 weeks. Visited many times, and in all those instances, I have only seen one person open carrying - one time. Nice to see, but kind of disappointing at the same time, really. Maybe most folks CCW? That's how I usually do it, anyway.

Or nightmare depending how you look at it....right now I'm dreaming about getting the heck out of this place. CCW vs OC...CCW is a wiser choice to say the least

I open carried into a diner with a shoulder holstered BHP back in 1984 in Idaho. Not a peep from anyone.

Did you ever stop by Buford to see that lonely horsey (right next to the population 1 sign) and also that rock tree (in the center medium by the rest stop)? The horse get sooooo excited to see a visitor!! The horsey would follow me around the rails and hangs out with me the whole time. When I left, the horse had the saddest look :-(

Just another normal day here in Idaho, and yes, you CAN ski and surf (and mtn bike) here in the same day.

Here (in Phoenix) it's mostly CCW in my experience...I go to a dog park where nearly everyone is packing, but no one is showing (it is illegal to prohibit firearms in state parks in AZ...and that might incl. fed. land too iirc). I only OC while camping, personally.

Where you'll probably see a disproportionate amount OC in AZ is at the Grand Canyon due to all of the out of state visitors who are excited for the opportunity.

I stop in Buford nearly every Saturday night.
I didn't this week because the business had to close.
I stop at the boulder tree on Saturday mornings for my 30-minute break.
I drive from CA to NE & back every week for the last 4 years.
