      What did the DOJ say?
"Most people understand that guns deter criminals. If a killer were stalking your family, would you feel safer putting a sign out front announcing, "This Home Is a Gun-Free Zone"? But that is what the Westroads Mall did" (in Omaha, Neb).

You should've called Doj in the store after you picked up your gun.

I'm not sure if it's pig ignorance that's going on down there or what, but I've spent several thousand dollars there over the past couple years, and that's the last cent they're ever going to see. To get an extra $15 out of a PPT, they're willing to lose thousands of $ in future business.
Call them or write them, but make sure they know this.

Phone contact with the DOJ can be difficult at times. I've had very good callback results when I go on their website to the "Contact us". Fill out the particulars and leave your phone number. They WILL call you back!!

I think you guys are wasting your time reporting to the DOJ about the charge. I highly doubt anything will happen to any dealers that is overcharging PPT. Don't all FFL go through some kind of paperwork audit by the ATF or DOJ? Surely if they saw the over charge, then they would care, wouldn't they? Yes, its the law, but I guess FFL found a loophole around the PPT charge.

The "loophole" is the same one the CA legislature uses.
                        Nobody does anything about it.

OP hasn't come back to comment about contacting DOJ.

May or may not be the case this time, but I'd put $5 on it.

Well, there's this thing called a holiday. And I'm travelling, but I've got a PDF copy of my initial email to DOJ at home. I'll post it when I get back next week, along with a link to my PayPal account where you can send the $5.

Depending on how many ftf ppt transactions they have done this may be a nice lawsuit. The number of transactions may be accessible through doj via a public records act request. Make sure you only ask for the number, not names.
