Yeah, they must think I'm happy to have had to spend thousands of dollars on ppt fees over the years.
Well if you keep using them and the service always sucks, How retarded is that ? If you stopped to consider what they are forced to not-charge, and the amount of time involved you might understand. The minuscule amount of money and entitled customers is hardly worth it.
I just provided a suggestion for you to stand out, and maybe adapt.

Why do you hate small businesses ?

Funny because I saw a Retting employee yesterday doing a PPT at Turners...I almost spit up my drink. And this particular employee would straight up tell me when I used to go to Retting that "we don't have time to do PPTs. its a pain in the *** and would rather not" yet they go elsewhere to get it done.

Weird. My own ppt experiences at turners have actually been pretty positive but maybe that's cuz I buy and sell unique and cool guns (AK pistols, Romanian PAR-1)...etc.

On the other hand, warrior one in riverside have given me the exact same attitude as OP got. I would never give them my business. Don't give a crap who the owner is, the getto music, bro type retards behind the counter and their attitudes about ppt have reconfirmed the opinions I made in late 2014 when I was reviewing lots of dealers in the area.

              I second that.

I have done a couple of PPTs at GUNS DIRECT in Burbank very recently. They were very professional and friendly even with a store full of people.
I was helped quickly and with very good attitude. The result, I liked the service so much that I bought a new CZ from their case to be added to my PPT on the same Dros. Saved me $25 and gives them a little business for nice service and friendly attitude.

As they themselves say, it's not service.
And no, I'm not happy about the fact that we have to ppt at ffls either. I would support a change to the law which would allow cash and carry of pp firearm sales.
They are not a small business.

Ok I have to chime in. As a dealer we theoretically make $10 off the PPT. However, we supply the paper and ink and I have to pay the employee. The last time I calculated it I lost $1 on each ppt. Very few people buy another firearm. Do you get some repeat business, sure. I had one individual that did 60 ppt's. He never bought a single firearm from me, and the people he sold to never did. Those of you that have I congratulate and thank you, even though it wasn't in my store. But you are the anomaly.

I always make a point to buy a couple boxes of overpriced ammo or a sling or bottle of solvent, lpk, or something, everytime I do a ppt.

Oak Tree is the armpit of the gun world. When Glock had their frame recall, I went there to ship my two frames & the douche behind the counter wanted $175.00 & said, "We lose money doing this." After I contacted Glock & expressed my frustration, the Glock Rep. got really mad & said he will be visiting Oak Tree & telling them if they keep pulling crap like this, Glock will cancel their Stocking Dealer" status.

Oak Tree also tried to stick me with a defective product & I had to resort to a credit charge dispute. I haven't been there for years & never will be.

I'm like dude, I'm not buying a gun directly from you, but you're still making some money, and this is part of your business.
Just remind the ungrateful FFL that he is making around $50 to $100 (what ever he charges) for a transfer which is 5 minutes of work, opening a Box and entering it into the book. That is a lot more per hour than OJ's attorney charged for getting him off a double murder charge.

I feel for you guys in Nor Cal area. Some of your area FFLs are just unbelievable.

Is that one of the females there? I find it pretty funny they did not do the PPT at their own place of employment. One of the female employees at Retting used to work at that Turners though.

yes it is...dont know her history at turners and if the PPT was a central location I understand that its ok...its just that she didn't acknowledge me at all and she knows me.

Part of the cost of doing business. All CA FFL's knew that by opening up shop or continuing to operate in CA they would have to do PPT's. Don't like it? Close up shop. Simple. As mentioned do you think we like having to do it? I can guarantee if you make it difficult and scowl at me I definitely will have no problem buying things elsewhere. I may be a rarity but most my disposable income goes to guns and I own well over 300 of them. Most were not purchased PPT.
