I traded my 517 for a Leupold VX-R after I got my CompM4. Zero regrets.

I'm not sure what part of California gets into the temps that cause the issues?

Really? Have you ever felt the inside of a car at 3:00 in the afternoon during any California summer, or spring, or most of fall?

I filled out the initial refund form and got a response back. They want me to basically re-enter all my info. on their e-mail, give a "total refund amount requested" and a few other things. They say they will then review my request and sent me a response via e-mail.

Have any of you had to do this?

Was it used? In any case request the full MSRP plus $15 since they guaranteed retail plus $15.

i have one of those package sights plus magnifier. think i need to send the whole kit back? would love to keep the mag. Also I spray painted mine....

No, a buddy sent back 2 EXPS' that were part of those packages and kept the 3x, no problem.

It was used NIB. Manufactured May 2014. I had to put all that info. in. Yeah, I need to add the $15 for shipping. Good thing I haven't sent the form back yet.

Submitted mine (model/serial) Friday night and got an approved response Monday morning to send back for full refund including $15 shipping.

Nuuze, keep us up to date on your refund. I want to make sure they're sending a check and not a voucher for one of their other products. I do not intend to support a company that was knowingly supplying our troops with defective optics! I will never buy anything EOTech again!!!
