Sent one of my three EOTech's in last week. Got a new MRO inbound. One of my remaining EOTech's I'm keeping. The other I'm contemplating since I'd have to sell the G33 that I paired it with, at the marketplace.

I'm wondering how many people are stuck with accessories purchased to go with their Eotech's? I have a flip up lens cover from GG&G for a 512 sitting here useless now.

Just called EOTech to find out status of my return (they received my return on 1st of February). They confirmed receiving my hardware. Also they gave me confirmation number-135XX. Is that mean they have about 13XXX claims only?
Lady suggested to wait for two weeks, and call again if check will not come.

I called recently. After being received by them about 3-4 weeks ago, they said to give them a few more weeks to enter it into their system. It is only then that I can get an update on my refund. So basically call back in 3 weeks

My sight was received on February 6 and radio silence since then. I sent a follow-up email on February 29 to which EoTech (L3) responded that I should call in for status. Did that today and after providing name, address, phone and e-mail the rep said that my refund was due to go out in this Friday's check run (03.11.16) and that I should be receiving two weeks after that.

1/31/16: Refund request submitted for $1772.00 (exps3-0, g33, 512.a65)
2/8/16: Refund request approved
2/8/16: Package shipped insured for $2000 via USPS priority 2 day shipping
2/10/16: Package delivered to Eotech
2/17/16: Called Eotech and they are unable to give me a status and asked me to call back if i did not see a check in a few weeks.
2/18/16: Called Eotech again and got the same exact word for word response.
3/09/16: Called today and was told that since they have no update and it ha been over 30 days to email Michael.kroll@l-3com.com for status update. I emailed Michael and was told my request was not in their system and he asked for a copy of my approval email. I sent it to him and am currently waiting for an update. This has become quite nerve racking

I just called. After a short wait on hold and then answering basic questions to ID myself I was told that my check will go out with the next batch on March 11th.

FWIW: I had USPS delivery confirmation on the 8th of February. I did not have an RMA and I never got confirmation from Eotech that the sight was received.

No. They fixed one issue a few years ago but the thermal drift still exists.

It's my understanding that the thermal drift problem in inherent in the design and technology being used and correcting it would require a complete redesign. Has to do with the interaction of the laser diode, the sight window and the metal frame around it and different levels of expansion/contraction under temperature extremes.

Tried to find the article I read explaining this, but can't. You'll just have to take the word of some random guy on the interwebs.
