If you are going to shoot a pump or semi for trap, get a shell catcher. They work and your squad mates will thank you.

I use to shoot my 11-87 Sporting Clays gun at trap once and a while, I use a heavy duty wide rubber band for a shell catcher, never let me down I'm sure it would work on a pump as well.

For trap I hated shooting next (on the right) to a guy with semi auto or pump because the ejected shells always hit me. If you thing you may ever shoot even club competitions, get a single BT 99 or Over/Under. Otherwise you won’t be very popular. Problem is, none of them are cheap, maybe look at the used market...

I think a regular rubber band remedy this "problem" very efficiently, but what i know, i do not shoot trap
Besides, he does not buy a gun for the next (on the right) person, he buys it for himself. If the next( on the right) person has an objection, he/she should buy OP a gun he/she( the person on the right) likes. Or not to be next (on the right) from the OP. Just kidding,

BTW, If OP, continues at the same way, very soon he will not have any guns and the only competitions he is going to have are competitions in a prison.. amen...
