In other news, has anyone had issues with Cabelas refunding their credit/debit card for cancelled orders?

I got one of my Blazer orders cancelled on the 13th and still no refund.

It's good Data Sue. I still check in at Wallies... there's only one for 80 miles and it's on the way to take my daughter to school, so we check most mornings.

Every once in a while I get lucky!

I have noticed of late that there's already a crowd on days they are going to get Fed 525 value packs - they KNOW

I've been on ammo-can, walmart mobile and brass badger.

WHAT I HAVE NOT figured out is how to tell if the Federal 525 value packs are coming in! :face palm: If you scan the bar code with the mobile app, it says it can't find it. That's the only we get the most - I'd really like to know when they are coming!

Any ideas?

Probably because they carry it in a 550 pack.(At least the 1's by me)
You would need the UPC off of 1 of the old 550 boxes for the scanner to work.

EDIT: Just checked...The number I've got is 2946505674.

The 550 is a different pack. 550's are load #750 and don't say Champion anywhere. 525 Champions are load #745. The specs are the same, and I don't know whether the ammo is really any different. The UPC on the 525 is 029465057169 (including the small numbers at both ends)

The last couple of times it's been the Blue Box Fed Champion 525. I have a couple and I've scanned them with the Walmart app - that's what doesn't "find it". I've run every search I can think of and have never seen that box come up - .22, .22lr, Fed .22, Fed .22 Bulk pack..... etc. No joy.

Wouldn't be the 1st time they've sold ammo that doesn't show.
I've picked up PPU .380 for a great price (~13+/50rds) that's never been on the sys either.

We get them more often than anything else - bulk pack wise
They don't show for me on any of the sites - but there's a bunch of guys that KNOW...so either the crew unloading the truck is tipping them off or they can find it with one of the app's. It's a small town - somebody maybe getting the info from the overnight stock crew.

I've never seen the 525's at Walmart either, only the 550's. Haven't seen those since Thanksgiving. Wonder if they use the same SKU?

My buddy went to Cabela's this morning where they had advertised 22lr in stock (granted, they were the M22's) for sale Saturday morning at 8am. He showed up and the line stretched for several hundred yards and consisted of at least a thousand people, some of whom had been in line since 3:30am. Obviously the majority of them left with zilch.

I won't feel comfortable with completely stopping buying 22lr until scenes like you see below are part of history. I'm not frantic to buy, but just persistent and consistent...

And this is precisely what fuels the continuing buying frenzy and shortage. If only 1 or 200,000 odd American gun owners persist in feeling this way then the .22 famine will never end.

The .22 lr shortage will likely never end completely, it will get a little less extreme but its not going to end.

I hope I am wrong, but we're 1.5 years into it and its showing little signs of letting up.

I've had it happen a couple times. My card wasn't charged but it showed my available credit was lowered by the amount I spent. Every time it happens to me it takes 4-5 business days and it comes off.

I've never been charged prior to shipment. Same with a friend who buys online from them.
