CCI's or Feds would suite me just fine.

We've been one box "bulk" .22 at the local Wallies for a long time.

That changed last week, the friendly old guy that works there said
"a change came down from Corporate. It's now 3 boxes, just like everything else... "

          Which really screwed it up.

Before they'd get a case and TEN guys would each get a box to go shooting... now the first 3 or 4 get some and everybody else is out of luck.

            $14.01 bx out the door.
As good as its going to get.
Fun part is I wasn't even there for ammo
I was even driving the wifes car so gas was "free"
You guys have a 9mm shortage still? Around here I can get pretty much anything modern except .22lr.
My stack's so deep, yo' mommas kids kids will have ammo to shoot!

            GunBot notifications for .22 ammo.

I hear ya. I'll probably get "you didn't leave some for others" comments. I was so surprised and shocked that the words "three please" just blurted out.

I do supply my neighbors who are not computer literate with 22lr. Our WW has probably averaged two to three 22lr deliveries a month lately.

I was late to the party at Walmart this morning. Just in time to see 2 guys at the register with big smiles on their faces each buying their 3 boxes of Golden Bullet 225's. I didn't really mind. I was in the neighborhood and was there mostly out of curiosity. This was at 9:45, so I could certainly have gotten some if I really wanted them.

Wow, that's late. A WW that's about a half hour from me had them this am. I didn't go as I got the Win 333 the morning before. I don't shoot either, if I can help it. The Win went to my neighbors.

This same WW shows they have the Fed 550 tonight. That's the way it use to be around here a year ago. We would go 3-4 weeks with no 22lr, then get them 3-4 nights in a row. If I get up early enough, I'll take a ride, as I like to shoot the Fed. For me they are not quite as accurate as the CCI or the Fed 810, but all my guns like them and shoot pretty accurate with them. And, they are a few cents per round cheaper than the CCI and 810's. I keep watching for the 810's at Gander but have missed them the last few times, even though I was right there when they supposedly dropped.

The wife and I went to SVSC today. Plinked at the rim fire steel range for a couple of hours before hitting the trap range. They are selling cci std bel sleeves for $8.21 and 50 rd boxes of blazer for $2.24. Limit two. Very nice to see our club range offering shooters .22 with no huge mark up. Members also get 15% off those prices.

That reminds me. I saw on the WW web site that they listed the Remington 22 Target Shells. I've never seen them before. When I looked them up, I found out they were 40 gr, 1150 fps round nose. Sub sonic but not the "Subsonic". Has anyone ever shot these??

Nice. I wish my shooting range sold ammo. At least I think I do.

Ask and you shall receive. I use three sites for Walmarts. Way back when, ammo-can.net was by far the best and most accurate. That changed 4-5 months ago, although I still use it to compare what info I get from other sites. Lately, it's been pretty good. A grain of salt. This involves bar coding, at least it did. Mistakes are made. Know when your "put out" time is. We all know that the 22lr disappears fast. Check these sites early afternoon, before the daily trucks are unloaded. Why, to see what is "in stock" or "availability unknown", the key words. If the 22lr shows in stock or "availability unknown" at that time, it's bogus and ignore it. What you are looking for is something that changed from out of stock in the afternoon, to in stock or "availablility unknown". For example, check out my first link below. It's for one of my WW that went from out of stock to "availability unknown" this afternoon.

This means that this store on King's Highway received the Fed 550. Now, all I have to do is be there when the ammo "put out" occurs.

These sites are made for phones, etc., but I use them on my desk top. I have them for the 22lr ammos that I shoot. If you scroll to the bottom of the page and hit search again, you can put your own zip in.

                              Another one is below.

It's basically the same, just in a different format. Click on the item, click on find in store, add your zip code and see what's "availability unknown".

If you check the above link and scroll down til you find the King's Highway store, you will also see the same .. avail....unknown.

Now you have ammo-can.net and the links directly from mobile.walmart. The last one I check is brassbadger.com. Again, lately it is not working too well, but in the past it did. It's self explanatory. Remember, several of these sites have been mentioned here by others. Right now the best by far is mobile.walmart. If you take the time to see what's not correct, like I said above, you will be right 90+% of the time. That doesn't mean you will get ammo. It just put you in the same league as the people who are waiting for the "known" 22lr to be brought out in the morning. How bad do you want it? How early are you going to get there. A year ago in my area you had to be there by 5 am. Now, if a case of ten boxes is coming out and you are only allowed one, you have to be no worse than tenth to get one. It helps to know how many boxes to the case. For a case of M-22 (called Winchester Long Rifle by WW), there's two boxes to the case. If only one case, you have to be first or second.

PM me if you have any specific questions. It's now 8:45 here and I'll probably hit the sack in a half hour. I've been using this system for over a year now with excellent results, esp in the Las Vegas area where I have 10-15 WW with 7 am put outs. Good luck. "Mr. Sue". I love it. I tried to get my wife, Sue, involved in several forums but was unsuccessful. I couldn't change the name and I didn't want to lose the PM's etc, so I kept the same Calamity Sue.

In other news, has anyone had issues with Cabelas refunding their credit/debit card for cancelled orders?

I got one of my Blazer orders cancelled on the 13th and still no refund.
