Even the 1135 should work fine. Match ammo (around 1050) also works great in my 10/22 (although it never hurts to add some lube first). The ones that don't cycle are more like CCI Quiet which is around 700 or something crazy like that.
Thanks Eljay good info. So the 1135 stuff would be fine for the "infamous" Phoenix 22a's should I happen to get one?

I would think so but .22s can be pretty random about ammo preferences and a small cheap semi... you'll just have to try it, especially during any initial breakin period.

Just to give you some idea of how crazy this can be, I usually run new .22s with mini mags for a while to break them in. I had a CMMG .22 AR upper that had jams every couple of rounds with mini mags... but ran perfectly with Remingon subsonic of all things. After a couple of range sessions with cleanings each time it now runs pretty much anything perfectly and has itty bitty groups with CCI Standard and just slightly larger with the Mini Mags that weren't working worth anything the week prior. Go figure.

Well I don't have a Phoenix, yet but my main concern was being sure the other firearms will function with the lower power 22lr. Don't want to be stuck with stuff that will only work in one firearm. Have that already with a 330rd box of Western HPs, they will only function my High Standard Sentinal revolver!
I had a Chiappa 22 upper that didn't function with hardly anything, as well as when it did fire it frequently was out of battery! Chiappa and I part ways over that nonsense and their poor Customer Service. Thanks for your info!

I bought some CCI Standard Velocity from Palmetto July 27 and it just arrived
today, (August 7). Seems really slow to me. It also came in a huge box,
but shipping was only $7.00. Seems lake they have a really screwy operation.
Anyone else experience this slowmo response from this company?
This was my first purchase from them.

You can still buy their .22 CCI STD , it's 5.99 per 50. I realize this is twice
the going rate of last year, but I'm trying to maintain my stock levels,
which is large, in case we lose Internet purchases later.
I am not an attorney, but sure, go ahead.

Finally got my CCI Mini Mags from Gander. I will have to give them the "horrible packaging of the month" award. They literally dumped the 10 boxes into the carton, stuffed some paper to hold it and shipped it. Box arrived all smashed up and some of the plastic containers were damaged. Ugh!

@aghauler HPs can be difficult because if they're a weird shape they can get caught up on feed ramps, etc.

@OneFunGuy Palmetto can be really slow and their shipping department is known for making mistakes - not including one random item, etc. I've had no problems other than being slow but you definitely see complaints on the forums.

@roger1022 Oh, great. I have some of that coming shortly. The plastic containers CCI uses do seem to be kind of fragile - a lot of companies basically bubble wrap it. Guess Gander can't be bothered.

The packer took the 10 boxes, stacked them 5 across and 2 tall strapped them together using 2 plastic bands (not too tight) and dumped them in the box. Add some paper to fill the void and off it went. So far it looks like only one of the plastic holders got damaged while the others seem fine. When I received the box, it looked like it got ran over with a forklift...

When you receive the box, I would just inspect to make sure none of the plastic boxes were damaged or any loose rounds.

So far Cabelas has the best packaging techniques. I know, I used to work in the shipping dept.

I'd disagree if I were to base it solely on my Turners and Big5 checks today. Both were well stocked with everything but 22. B5 had 22 this morning but sold out. Turners Kearny Mesa was releasing ammo Tuesday at opening. So if a day and half goes by and they had all that. B5 Rancho Bernardo was releasing Wednesday at opening, and I went by this evening - shelves full.
Also, they may have sold out of buckets in minutes, but you don't know how much they had. Frequency is going way up. This is good.

Open carry loaded is legal in most of NM, as is concealed loaded in your vehicle, load carry concealed on your person requires a CCW though, and you're correct, it's no big deal to those that don't feel threatened by seeing a gun in public. I would surmise it defers the bad guys. We just had a 7-11 clerk gunned down last night a mile and half from our place in town. I don't think the kid had a chance and the cameras didn't catch a usable image.

I shot about 20 rounds out of my 82G with good grouping, but a friend with the same model rifle had bulk ammo results.

It's on the lower end of match accuracy out of my savage mk2 bv. Not really any more consistant than good HV ammo.

I got some last sale... but haven't tried it yet. I think I have a brick of normal and a brick of HV... didn't buy more based on the mixed reviews all around the internets but it seems very strange to think Federal labeled GOLD MEDAL will be worse than Win White Box or something else $3-$4 a box.
