In general you are correct in that you should check the manual to determine if any firearm will take the pressure. But even if they can take the pressure which isn't that much more some springs might need changing. But in this case the Henry .22LR receiver is the same as the .22WMR and .17HMR receivers and can handle the pressure. They are also lever actions and not semi-autos.

My guess would be any .22LR firearm built in the last 30 years would handle the hyper-velocity. Sometimes the casing is longer like in the Stinger and some target barrels won't chamber them.

Federal Fire cans have been popping in and out at Natchez for $19.99. Add another item(s) in your cart and shipping may be palatable.

Your .05 and .06 per round window you are enjoying now for cheap bulk ammo will go away soon - hence why we keep advising: "Get it while you can!"

Come summer, I expect it to be .07 to .08 per round.

We are already seeing the monetary inflation in the match ammo. They're using the same brass alloys, same lead and same copper ore the cheap bulk uses. Already the prices on the match ammo is jumping .25 to .50 per Box / 50. This started about 3 week ago.

This means the next production run for cheap bulk using the same brass alloys, same lead and same copper ore will see a price increase as well.

One sign that the price increase is already affecting quality bulk ammo is the re-container-izing of:

CCI Choot 'Em Mini-Mags from 375 to 300.
CCI Tactical from 375 to 300.

When prices increase manufacturers have two choices when passing it on:

Raise the consumer end price per quantity.
Reduce the consumer end quantity per price.

                      Thanks Cal Gunners

Every single time I try to post a deal someone has already beaten me to it, but I really want to thank every one who contributes to this thread. I for one am truly thankful and will contribute more to the thread now that I just bought my Browning Buckmark Camper UFX. Thanks everyone.

I have a Savage MKII-F for example. Someday out of curiosity and just plain old fun - I may try Aguila Interceptor and Super Maximum with it.

Despite the heavy bolt and heavy barrel - I'll contact Savage Arms beforehand anyway just to be certain.

                        =8-)
I'm not familiar with the Savage MKII-F so I can't comment on it and I'm guessing you aren't familiar with the Henry H001. Henry made the receivers the same for the .22LR, .22WMR and .17HMR with only the barrel and a few parts being different. I've converted a Henry .22LR Mare's Leg to .22WMR and it can easily take the pressure. When I called and asked about doing it they told me it couldn't be done safely. Then I spoke with Anthony Imperato and he told me it could be done safely by someone who knew what they were doing.

More to the point is that the Henry manual tells you what ammo can and can not be fired. They made no mention of hyper rounds. If the receiver could not have fired the hyper safely they would have mentioned that. These hyper rounds have become popular and have been around for close to 40 years and any newer firearm that can not fire them will have it stated in the manual. Its only firearms that were made when the hyper first came out that has problems. Unless of course a brand new one has told you specifically not to.

So you are correct in saying I should check. It's just that I did check some 20 years ago.

Candy bars are famous for this. For those old enough to remember five cent candy bars they kept getting smaller and smaller until one day they got big again and jumped to a dime.

Its just that we all check rounds per box but never ounces in a candy bar.
