Midway USA emailed me they are shipping Bucket Of Bullets backordered on October 25...almost 5 month wait, but will be less than .06/rd at doorstep...anyone else get similar news re: BOB ordered back then?

Man, this seems like a ****load of work you guys go through for .22. I'm that much more glad the Walmart on my way home from work works out for me. After shipping (Shipping prices for ammo prices are inflated aren't they?) Do you guys even save any money doing this instead of buying from the gougers? How much and is it worth the hassle? I've tried the links a few times when it's convenient.. no dice.

People are making a big deal out of nothing. It's really easy to find it online. Gander has a free shipping deal right now and pretty decent limits so in the last week I was able to pick up a couple thousand mini mags at 8 cents/round delivered. I'm not sure what the local gougers are charging but it's going for 2-3 times that on gunbroker, no joke.

Cabelas has had regular ammo dribbling in. I don't recommend it for everyday use unless you're running really low, but if you're buying something there anyway you should be able to add in a brick of something and the extra shipping is pretty minimal.

A bunch of other stores have been dropping quite a bit of .22 but with the shipping it's less appealing than Gander so there are fewer people bothering to monitor them. But you never know - next week we could all be watching natchesz or somebody else. It's only the newbies who think Gander/Cabelas are the only sources, or even the best sources. When a store like Grafs that isn't on gunbot but gets in a big batch of .22 you can pick up case quantities per day and sometimes it lasts more than one day.

Agree. This is where the action is. They will be shutting down facebook gun talk soon and those guys will probably come here anyway.
