BTW, whoever supplied the link to the Cabela's ammo cans, thank you. I picked up a few.

P.S. I should clarify. My ranking is based on using a 22lr pistol. Rifle ammo hierarchy is different.

              .

I forgot about the Viper's. Yes I would rank them above the YJ's. I still think the 40gr CCI is better though, both in handguns and 10/22's.

The ammo cans have been on sale for quite some time. I usually keep the link with the other auto adds.

PSA has choot 'ems. $35, not cheap. Doesn't appear to have a limit. Put ten in my cart and was accepted. But $35..........

The Yellow Jackets and Vipers are both truncated bullets and some firearms have problems cycling them. The YJ's are 33 grain rated at 1,500 fps while the Vipers are 36 grain rated at 1410.

All my Henrys will eat them and while they aren't the most accurate rounds they have a lot of killing power.

They carry the most punch of any .22LR that I know of. Some of the newer Aguila ammo is close though. The Velocitors aren't the most accurate round either.

This is the dry box I was referring to earlier. It will hold about 5000 rounds. As example I have one with two of the M22 packs and ten of the CCI tactical boxes. Not the type to lug around, but for pure storage seeming excellent.

They go on sale occasionally also. You are right, they are quite heavy when loaded. They don't fit as well in my storage locker as the smaller ones. Also, they are getting too heavy for an old fart like me to move around.

Chances are pretty good - you're going crack or break something in the receiver...in lieu of an okay from Henry.

I assume you are referring to a pistol, but something like a 10-22 or a 15-22 would be OK to use them???
