Yesterday at 11:00AM I got an e-mail saying it was in stock and ordered. Just 3 minutes ago, I got a follow up e-mail and was told the Winchester AND the Remington were both out of stock and backordered. What the hell Cabelas?

I'm crossing my fingers here, but I have not gotten that e-mail yet. My status still says processing when I log in to Cablea's website and check the order.

Yeah. I got one that said "Backordered, expected shipment 5/24" and then I got the exact same email, except just "Backordered".

Well, OK, at least It's coming. If the flow/price of ammo improves in the meanwhile, I'll cancel my order, but at least "backorder" is better than "out of stock, no back order". So in theory, it's locked in unless I cancel it.

I ordered got a confirmation email in stock. This morning I get a new email and now says back ordered til 6/30/13 I call and all the lame as on the phone tells me is there computer system can't keep up. Really there computer can't do simple subtraction. I am not happy I don't normally buy from Cabelas's and I don't need ammo just replacing what my wife shot last weekend but this is really pathetic
I don't back order sh^t I want it when I pay for it or I would have never ordered. This may be the last and only order I do with Cabela's rant over.

You obviously dont understand the current state of affairs.

Our government is in flux, they are being caught red handed left and right.

While the ammo and firearm frenzy seems to be slowing, it still is not completet finished.

I work in the computer field, yes, systems can get overwhelmed. When you have something going on like we do here, I have subscribed to this thread, as someone posts ammo for sale, I immediatly hit the link here then go to the link where it is being sold.

If I am driving I pull over and do it from my phone.

If you compoun this with other web sites doing the same thing. And if a lot of people are trying to pounce on it like I do, then yes, it would be no differant than a Denial of Service Attack from a hacker (DOS).

I too ordered from them I also received no confirmation, but then yesterday I received 3 seperate orders saying they were back ordered and would be in around May 25th.

No big deal.

I was able to get some lower receivers yesterday.

Today I was able to buy some rebuild kits so I can rebuild some of my magazines that I have had since I was in the Marines (back from 1984).

I got them for $11.95 each.

So things are coming back to normal, we just are not there yet. Cabelas is a good company. But I am sure a lot of compay's computers systems were feeling a little crused for the last year or so..

Good luck. and just be patient, it will all get back to normal.

Kings Canyon & Peach WalMart Fresno has MEGA paks of 40 (6 boxes & 45 (5boxes). Also reg boxs of 38 & 357. Sorry I got the last box of 9MM No 5.56 or 223. Left there at 1215 today.

I just tried some of that Aguila "Super Maximum Hyper Velocity" ...

It shot 100% out of 100 rounds. No failures. Fairly repeatable for me.

But the SMELL! Athlete's feet grilled over burnt tires.
