Well, I think you may have answered your own question. If they're reserving items as soon as they go in people's carts that means they'll show OOS really fast but nobody wastes time trying to check out when they'll never finish in time. Most shopping cart software you can configure that however you want. The big problem is if somebody adds a bunch of items it can be disruptive.

I think setting it extremely short is actually very common right now (0-1 minutes). Otherwise you wouldn't get so many people able to add to cart but things get removed as you go through the checkout process.

Even with the $13 shipping it's still desirable?

I had several items on a want list for when ammo was available from Midway, so to as not get completely ****ed with shipping costs. I snagged my 1 box of 500 Thundabolt, along with some gun cases and other crap.

Midway emailed me with the arrival of the ammo, yet it wasn't listed on their site, even after narrowing it down to "in-stock" items. After a search there was two different listings: one out-of-stock, and one with a "choose availability" button. Seems like they wanted this stash kept secret....

wow, great price and then the 20.00+ shipping and special handling cost kind of stinks up the water. Thanks for the link. I have no problem paying that much for 22 but I don't need it at this time ...
