And the advantage I have over both officers (one was on probation and the other with 8 years) was I was known high above their food chain.

I give credit to 'Bruce' who handled the situation as best he can in a public place. He didn't talk down to the cops. Using few words, he said he'll take over and both should go back on patrol. The probie may have had a little more attitude than I'd find acceptable in this situation and he (or the supervising officer) should have clearly acknowledged my request for a supervisor. Reflecting back on the day's event, I'm OK with it. As I said, for LEOs, better safe than sorry.
Not all of us know LEO "brass." What happened to you is BS. Officers should have been told that. They had no reason to be busting your balls. You should find another ups store at minimum.

      banning is extreme,

free market is one thing, but this is Kestryll's forum, which is private property, and there is a separate section for Private ammo sales and Commercial sales.

ammo flippers that buy ammo to resell should be in the commercial sales section and away from the occasional sales.

Plenty of Paperchasin douches flipping ammo around here. Unfortunately, they can, because of all idiots willing to paying Way too much for it.

That's not the answer.you cannot stop the flippers. It's going to happen regardless. All you can do is recommend this thread to as many ppl as you can.

I know what you mean. I once was talking to a police lieutenant from Texas/Gulf area last May who couldn't find 9mm, 380 or AK ammo.

I told him I could buy the Tula stuff all day long here and sent it down to him. He was super happy.

              Um, no

Whether delivered to your home, office or a postal center, if your packages are labeled as ammo, you may be raising the suspicion of others (co-workers, mail carrier, FedEx dude/dudette, etc.).
Ammo is legal and I don't care if the "FedEx dude/dudette" has suspicions or not - it's clearly labled on the case of ammo what it is and the NRA sticker on the back window of my vehicle in the driveway removes all suspicion: this person is ordering ammo.

By limiting my ammo because "someone might get suspicious", I'm implying that I think my hobby is shameful, and I don't feel that way...not even slightly. Besides, heavy cases of ammo help my FedEx/UPS guy (or 'dudette=' as it were) stay fit

For those that applied and got the Cabela's Visa, did you guys try calling customer service to expedite your card to you? I know Chase and Discover will do this for free and you have your card is 2-3 business days.

Yes, please save us from ourselves. We are too stupid to spend our own money the way we want. A nanny forum is for our own good.

You know, this kind of complaining about "flippers" is exactly why I dumped everything on gunbroker when I was reducing my stash - they set the price so it's not my problem and I didn't have to worry about cal gunners complaining or no-showing.

I would rather have kept all of those 5K round cases in-state but oh well.

Personally I think anything that brings more ammo to California is pretty hard to complain about. The guys asking for stupid high prices don't seem to be moving that much of it anyway. Just keep buying online when the prices are right and get on with your life.

paid $30 for a box of blazer and felt good about it!

Until I realized I paid $30 for a box of blazer and the one I bought two years before that was $15 from big 5. But better than what I've seen at GS's, and dont have the time to wait in line on friday morning for my soup.

Fingers crossed ammo keeps coming online!

Thanks for the helpful thread all

Not going to happen. When I talked to the manager of the ammo section today, he told me they recently instituted limits for all bulk items. Quantity of 1 for all 1,000+ round items. 2 for all 200+. 10 for anything 100 or less still.
