This morning I called the mailbox center to confirm my shipments from last week's Gander & Cabela's ammopalooza were available to receive. Counter person said yes and asked when I was coming so she could have packages up at the counter (I didn't think much of the question). I told her around noon. Came to the store and there was a cop (waiting for me).

The new manager of the mailbox center saw six large, heavy packages of which most were labeled ORD (and she was concerned). Cop #1 starts asking questions and cop #2 walks in. Cops were pleasant and respectful (as was I answering their questions). I presented my CDL upon request (which they ran for wants & warrants) and they asked more questions regarding my order (where did I order from, what's in the boxes, am I a US citizen, why did I order so many rounds, do I have a handgun certificate, which firearms do I own, etc.).

The counter lady could shove her concern up her con--cern. I would never have spoken to that cop. You might be buddies with brass, but most of us aren't. I would have simply asked if I was free to go, and if not then what am I being detained for. Rinse repeat. Not rude, but sure as hell not a boot licker to some rookie on a fishing expedition enabling some paranoid niny at a shipping office. Answer one question with something they think might be illegal (given the number of departments requiring failure of an IQ test these days you can't expect much there), and you get an arrest record for life.

I paid $18 for shipping because the CLUB Visa Card have not been received yet....

Not going to happen. When I talked to the manager of the ammo section today, he told me they recently instituted limits for all bulk items. Quantity of 1 for all 1,000+ round items. 2 for all 200+. 10 for anything 100 or less still.

This will def help with getting more people served but harder to get the free shipping if say there like cabelas only drop little at a time.

Agreed. I'm to the point (like Sue) where I just look for CCI when I can get it. I've got enough that I can hold out for what I really want now. Thanks to this site (and that "other" thread where we used to hang out), I can afford to be more picky.

Agreed. I'm to the point (like Sue) where I just look for CCI when I can get it. I've got enough that I can hold out for what I really want now. Thanks to this site (and that "other" thread where we used to hang out), I can afford to be more picky.

I know you love your Tacts! Been kind of tough to get those lately. I just bought a MP-15 22 and I need some good ammo!
