My dove tail base moves. How is your DIP holding out?
Big 5 is selling picatinny rail conversion and can still use the iron sight, I might try that.
ETA - I belong to the guy crowd.

Very last minute, but I stopped by sports authority yesterday and the 795 is on sale for 124.99, or 99.99 after rebate.
This was in AZ so YMMVLeave a comment:

Took advantage of the Big5 $129 special in October and my new 795 was just sprung from jail last week.
I Took the 10 days to order up some accessories so that it would be here when the rifle was finally released.

* Marlin 795
* UTG Accushot 1-Piece Scope Mount
* Barska 3-9x32 Plinker Rifle Scope
* Butler Creek Flip Up Sight Covers
* Leapers 9-11" Swivel Stud Mount Tactical Bipod
Took it to the range last night and shot her for the first time. The action was nice and smooth and no FTE or FTF to report.
I tight groups @ 25 yards (indoor range) but down and left by about 3" (yikes!) That being said, does anyone know of a place in the Bay Area where I can get my rilfe sighted-in?
Well if you go to an outdoor range, most of the time you sight it in at the 25-30 yard range. So sight it indoor and you'll have it ready for outdoor use. Im not near SF but if anytime your around miplitas or los altos your welcome to use my boresighter if needed. The poster above is what you want to do firstLeave a comment:

Unscrew turrets, read MOA adjustment (1 click = 1/4 MOA or whatnot), adjust 12 MOA up and 12 MOA right. Shoot group, adjust, shoot group adjust if needed.
Easy as pie...Leave a comment:
