Cool, I was hoping you'd get one during this last sale run.

Speaking of spare magazines... anyone know a cheap source of the 10-rounders for the 795?

Thanks! Bought it New Years eve just in time for the Marlin Rebate! Now have to wait untill the 11th to pick it up but that's just around the corner! Ordered some tech sights to put on it too.

Haven't gotten them in yet (scheduled to get in on Mon.) but all seems on the up and up.

BUT Their shipping is pricey (about $16) so you have to see if its worth it based on how many you want to order.

remove the screws, start a coarse wood (or drywall) screw in one (or both) of the holes, and pull on that... Lots of room in there!

yes there is...I stuffed some ammo and a flint and steel in there. Ya know just in case

anyone know if there is a secret to removing the buttplate on the factory synthetic stock? i pulled both screws out and tried to pry it off but it would not come out.

Marlin 795 is on sale as of 12/26 at Big5... $159 as usual. They don't mention the rebate, but according to the form on the Marlin website, it's good on purchases through 12/31/2010, so have at it! Postmark by 1/15/2011.

I think I'm gonna go get one just to make that LTR for Appleseed.

No secret. Urs must be tight or your not getting it over the slide release lever

just wanted to say my rail from liquid industries installed by the skin of my teeth, I guess my rail was pretty wide as I had to hammer the rail on, and it fits GREAT because I shot about 100 rounds and did not notice ANY scope movement! shes holding zero and looking sexy with my wood stock.

Does anyone have an extra plastic trigger guard / floor plate thing? Mine broke between the trigger guard and the mag well. Its still holding together but the trigger portion is only held on by one screw now.

I guess I picked the wrong time to look for this Marlin! Seeing the usual sales rotate like clockwork but still no 795!!!

I meant dip sorry, and the wood stock is from gunparts.com or somethin g. I wanted the grey lamanate one but its sold out everywhere
