Okay, did my good deed, and they were quite appreciative. Cashier (dunno if he was a manager) wrote the employee ID number from my original receipt though, and said it was for "training" purposes. Oops. Sounds like "corrective action" to me.

Picked up another 200 rounds since I was limited to 300 yesterday, and yes, I looked at the receipt this time.

It is definitely all about the food around this place. 2013 was about food for the hardware. We eat a lot of ground Tri Tip.

Midway has a good bit of .22 lr in stock right now. CCI Standard, and combo packs of 9mm or .223 and .22 lr.(Winchester 555 and Federal 38r HP 400 rd).

Good news: I received my 1000 pack of CCI HP from PSA.
Bad news: EVERY single box was broken!!!

Idiots took the pack of 10 plastic CCI boxes, shrink wrapped them, and threw them in a cardboard box with almost no extra packing material. WTF? They were slopping around in there throughout transit.

That is just absolutely terrible shipping service from PSA!

Its pretty common for 22lr plastic containers to break in shipping

That's BS. A few extra pieces of brown paper packing or some bubble wrap and not one would have broken. Instead I got 1000 loose 22 rounds contained in a shrinkwrap package.

Cabelas was able to get them to me last month without breaking one box.

Just ordered a Bucket-O-Bullets from Cabela's for $89.99. Not the greatest price, but since there's no tax, it competes with local prices IF you could find it. Works OK in my pistols and 10/22, but I got it more for the novelty anyway. I added some Hornady 357 to get it above the $99 threshold for free shipping with the promo code "95FREE":

Had the same thing from Cheaper Than Dirt with 1000 rnds of 5.7x28. That is 20 small boxes like .22lr. The shipping box at least 12x12x16 with just a small amount of crumpled brown paper as packing. The little boxes had opened and there was 1000 rnds floating around in the bottom of the large box. Took pictures and sent to CTD. Service person said she would have FedEx pick up the package. There were no missing rnds so I told service person to forget it. She just did not understand about loose rnds and shipping.

                          Good for you.

I did the same at Ammo Bros when they neglected to charge me for some Wolf Gold 223 ammo. Went back with the receipt and CC to have them correct it.

Honesty and integrity is its own reward. As gun owners we can either be an asset or liability to society, the line in between can be thin where firearms are involved. We need to hold ourselves to a higher ethical standard.

Martin B. Retting in Culver City had 500rd bricks of Winchester Super X for $49.95 last Saturday. $.10/rd for a local shop isn't terrible.

Midsouth Shooters Supply has Norma TAC-22 for $49.99. Their shipping is pretty reasonable, around $10 for three bricks when i checked it in my cart. I didn't buy any, since I have a decent supply, but it's good standard velocity stuff in my 10/22 (consistently under 1/2" and usually just over 3/8" @ 50 yards). Your mileage may vary:
