Is this a new to you gun?
it cycles ok with nothing in the chamber?... It seems to cycle fine. No more difficult than my 45-70 or any of my other many Marlins...though I haven't done them side by side yet.
Best of luckIt takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
Happiness is a warm gun.

Spyder, you mentioned a few posts back the 22" Marlin. Those 22" Marlin 1895s are one of the most pleasant-looking long guns of all time.

My brother had one of the first model .444s, with the 24 inch barrel, half or 3/4 magazine and the straight grip Monte Carlo stock. It was very accurate and actually I liked the looks. There is one listed on Little John's auction this weekend. I just got a new truck so I have to be good.Comment
