Killer Bee - I have a Marlin 782 .22 Mag with a really pretty stock with lots of dark grain. My Dad and I bought matching ones at GEMCO in Lakewood eons ago. I like it, but my Win 9422M does outshoot it.

GEMCO....There’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. I remember buying a Remington 700BDL in .30-06, and a couple of other rifles from them out of their store in Woodland Hills. That was a long time back.
What year did they close?....’85?

85 sounds about right. Maybe a little sooner. We used to go to the Gemco's on Valley and San Gabriel in San Gabriel. It was like a modern day Walmart Super Store except with mostly MADE IN THE USA products. They had a great sporting goods department. Bricks of 22LR sitting on the counter for under $10.00.

Yep, GEMCO was our go-to store for all things outdoors. Great selection of everything and good prices too. This was in Cupertino, Nor Cal.

You can count on it. Actually, it's MB 250gr rnfp, but, close enough. I may try 7.0-7.5gr Unique in the revolver. We shall see.
