Yugo, all ammo i've shot through my Glocks are reloads. Not one problem. You said it yourself, you are a XD guy, which has a totally different grip angle from the Glock. There is a high chance you are limping your wrist.

I've had 5 Glocks over the years (17, 19, 22, 23 & 26). The only one that ever had an issue was the Gen 4 G17, replaced the followers and the problem was solved.

80%-90% of the rounds through these guns were reloads, no issues ever. No matter what the damn owners manual says, Glocks should not have issues with reloads. If they are having issues then I'd blame it on the gun.

I usually laugh at posts like this, but I'm with the OP here. I'd be pissed because that Glock should be eating anything you throw at it.

Edit: if by some chance you are a limp writer, ammo is not going to help.

            Handloads will void the warranty.

Glocks are special, you can't shoot cast boolets in them.

Or if your honor and integrity are worth more than the price of a glock.

                            *watch my limp wrist
                            *use better ammo
                            *change springs
                            *say a prayer before shooting
                            *rub my lucky rabbit foot
                            *etc etc

I buy a NEW and much HYPED gun and I expect it to work PERIOD! reloads or not!
17L is an oddball glock. maybe it needs a little break in? sounds like you shot a box and got pissed.

I had to put a couple hundred rounds thru my CZp07 before it would not FTE. gun is sweet now, just had break in.

that said break-in requirement for a glock is rare, but so are 17L's. if the recoil spring is too strong for your ammo, FTE's will happen constantly.
