Wow, this thread brought out the fanboys and the haters, way to go OP.

Typical of people nowadays, you have a hissy fit and then post it up on the net before you do anything to see if the problem is the ammo or the gun. Stop whining like a five year old and figure out what the problem is. Then post up some useful information rather than a snivel fest.

My thoughts on this are first, I would be a bit suspicious of the magazines. I don't know how they were blocked, but maybe try a neutered PRC compliant mag to see if it fixes the problem.

Second try different ammo, it could very well be that you got a substandard batch. Try the ammo you have in your beloved XD and see if it works. One thing that was mentioned, was the 17L has a heavier slide than a standard 17/19/26 (or your XD for that matter) and it may need a more powerful load to function properly or maybe a different recoil spring.

Third, if it doesn't function properly with in-spec factory ammo, then you can snivel about it while it goes back to Glock to get fixed.

I am by no means a Glock fanboy, I think they are as homely as a mud fence and have marginal ergonomics. That being said, they do have reputation for reliability, so if yours will not function reliably with factory ammo (which is what Glock guarantees it to do) it has a problem and needs to go back for repairs.

After you have properly diagnosed what is causing the issue, post it up so that others can benefit from your troubleshooting rather than listen to a rant that does not accomplish anything.

I just took it to the SSZS in barstow.

I took it out loaded the mags with Bulletmans 9mm reloads and it would not cycle them! One or two shots and the casing got stuck every time. I think it is because the loads are not hot enough!

BUT my biggest gripe is that all this hyoe about glocks and my very firrst $730 glock dosnt even work!!!!!!

I have a XD40 and I have shot thousands of bulletmans reloads with out a hickup!

        So F&^%K Glock!!!!!!!

I've never understood why someone would buy that ugly 17L over the 34.

Amen to this. Also, I would not recommend using reloads in any new gun until it is broken in. It's just not good practice IMO. FYI, even my HK USP said not to use reloads in it, so Glock is not the only manufacturer to make that request.

Let's all get your *****ing straight.

You buy a factory G17L and use weak bulletman 9mm reloads and blame the gun.

You have a XD40 with a 4" barrel (2" shorter than the 17L) and also use bulletman 40S&W reloads and it works right.

So the 125g 9mm reload in a 6" barrel should perform the same as a 180g 40S&W reload out of a 4" barrel.

Limp wristing or not, you need help understanding physics.

Next time come see me first. I'll take your $750 and slap you like the child you're being.

I don't care what gun it is, or who your more of a fanboy of. The OP is complaining about running crap reloads and blaming the gun for the issue.
