Nope, M1 is Hk paddle style and M2 is thumb button style.

M1 mags will not work in a M2.

Am I mistaken? I thought I said they are the same (implied trigger and accuracy) except for mag release?

I also thought as mag release was different magazines being different be self explainatory (that was my bad could have been more clear)

I have an M1 and an M2. I prefer the M1 cus of its paddles. I did have to get used to dropping the mags with my middle/index finger though. The M2 has that rounded hump under the trigger guard to compensate for the button mag release and IMO makes the M1 feel slightly better in my hands.

There is no difference in grips between the 4" & 5" M2. The M1 & M2 all come with the same 3 (S, M, L) interchangeable backstraps. Unless you want a 5", I'd say go with the M1.

Hahaha. I actually remember you caught my mistake about the SSE process on the G42. I was drunk at that time and was so embarrassed when I read it the next morning. That was worst!!!!

Back to the topic. I love the mag release from the PPQ M1. I wish HK would design their pistols that way.

After reading this I think I'll just go with a PPQ cause I can get it now, as opposed to all the uncertainty with the VP9. Several places say they have them on order but can't guaranty they'll be in before January 1st. They both seem pretty close anyways.

Is $672 OTD for a PPQ M1 4" a good price?
