HK VP9 for me. While the trigger is slightly better on the PPQ, the VP9 is close enough, especially for a duty pistol. And I feel HK quality is top notch and is a bigger player in the firearm industry. So I would choose HK.

I have been asking the same question. PPQ has a superior trigger, from what owners are reporting. That, to me, says it all, unless you are buying and keeping it new in the box to turn a profit in a few years, then I would buy an HK. I can say that buying one or even a few VP9s would be a smart gun investment, you can probably double your money in less than a year.

        Better yet, buy both.

I haven't handled the VP9, but it looks/sounds like they did a good job with it.

I have a PPQ though that I love. So all I can say is you won't go wrong with a PPQ. You probably won't go wrong either way IMO.

You probably won't lose money long term either way. I have 4 PPQ, plan to end the year with around 4 or 5 VP9 as well.

I have both and I think I favor the PPQ. The VP9 sights and slide don't really agree with me. PM me if you are in NorCal and want to try them out.

Can't go wrong with either, however do not like Hk sights, will be switched out for 10-8.

Everything I read about the ppq is that it has a dream trigger... is there a compact model? Walther nomenclature is hard.

I have old standard cap glock mags so I can't decide if it's dumb to buy anything but gen4 glocks while I still can.

Eta - or low cap compacts

PPQ trigger is super sweet. No PPQ compact...

I actually got to handle each of them yesterday at my FFL. They are both really nice, great ergos. Very similar in many respects. As folks have noted the trigger on the PPQ is awesome and the trigger on the VP9 is really nice. I would be happy owning either but since my FFL can get the PPQ now that's what I'm going for. Also it comes in a 5" variant that is reported to be as accurate as stock handguns get out of the box. Since I mostly shoot paper and steel it's an easy choice.

PPQ by far. Yo should see how many jaws drop when I talk bad about the infamous VP9. Too many people are holding it up as Gods Pistol, it's meh.

                              Just my opinion
