    forget walmart then

    Well,

I've had it with their pandering. . . they have enough money to fight in courts, but they choose to pander to the gun-grabbers.

I just found 1000 rounds of .45 ACP Fiocchi for $179.00
    and 1000 rounds of S&B 9mm for $113

    at Sportsman's Guide

Plus coupon code from http://mactec-militaryarms.com/ammo_sales.html for $20 off

And a reasonable $16.00 shipping charge which ends up less than tax at Wally World. This'll work 'til I start loading my own.

Including my buyer's club purchase, I came out spending only $311.00 total. Wally world would have been $345.00 if you include the tax and if they have that much in stock. Plus I get a $20 off coupon. So I saved $44.00 and I don't have to drive to Union City and don't pay tax to the California government. My guns have all eaten thousands of rounds of WWB .45 and 9mm. I would have kept doing business witht them for a very long time. Their loss. I hope eastern europeans know how to make bulllets otherwise I'm going to have a bad shooting school experience. . . or be really really good at malfunction clearing.

Anyone know a good source of ammo that Walmart carried? My pistol loved the Winchester White Box stuff (9mm 100 rounds).

A short week-end road trip up I-5 will net you several WalMarts (Yuba City/Marysville,Willows, Chico, Paradise, Red Bluff, Redding, etc) that haven't pulled their ammo and have plenty of it. Get out of the city for a day and get some fresh air.

The Wal-mart in Lancaster, and the new super Wal-mart in Palmdale both still sell ammo, and these two are in LA county.

Anyone know which Bay Area walmarts still sell ammo? I picked up my Ruger Mark 2 yesterday and want to get some .22lr but Fremont is no longer selling it.

Between this, and AB2714 prohibiting online sale of ammunition to California. It can only get uglier.

It's scarey to think how The California History books might read:

"The Great AR-15/AK offlist receiver rush of 2005-2006 was shortly followed by the Great Affordable Ammunition Rush of 2006."

I'm curious where all of the California gun dealers and FFLs think of all of these developments, seeing as with the exception of a few, Don't normally stock and sell ammunition by the case (1000rds). Pickings were always slim at SJGE, Targetmasters, and Irvington Arms. Great shops for guns, but fell a little at the wayside for true one-stop shopping.

If a couple hundred of us file complaints, it might help a bit. I just submitted mine.

I think it's just contra costa and alameda counties that pulled it for now.... I heard some one mention a "county ordinance" when i was on the phone

Walmarts in roseville still stock ammo. Not that the idiots behind the counter realize what they have, but its there. Still $0.25 and up for 223.
