Walmart pulls plug on ammo

I bought 5 boxes of WWB 45 Auto yesterday in milpitas. just under 20 before tax for a box of 100. I've never bought ammo at walmart before, so when i got home i was very surprised to see that it was JHP, not FMJ. Did the clerk make a mistake, or are the WWBs that everyone is talking about JHP.

No, you've received the wrong product. While Walmart does not allow returns on ammunition, you can still return to the store with your receipt and bring it to their attention the incorrect price was charged. They may allow you to benefit from the clerk's mistake or they may ask you to pay the difference.

Do the right thing, remember you could be working at Walmart some day.

I dunno, wal-mart is retarded, twice I have returned ammo cause they gave me something other then I asked, they returned it no questions asked, and I knew it wasn't allowd.

Well hold on here... the guy/gal at the counter might hand you the wrong stuff, but if you walk out of the store with the wrong stuff, it's your fault.

We all know that the people running the sporting goods counter at Wal-Mart are not always sportsmen, let alone intelligent. You should ALL be checking what you purchase BEFORE you pay.

I do the same thing at gun shops when I purchase bullets, powder, or primers that may be behind the counter. Those guys usually know about reloading, but I still check what I'm handed to make sure it's the right stuff.

The WM at Watt and El Camino pulled their ammo last time I was in there. Went to check on WWB .223 and .45acp and the case was empty. That was last week or so.

they rarely let me check, I guess cause I'm 20, they even have to act Cautious, oooooh I'm young and buying ammo for a rifle, yikes, they don't let me handle it until after I pay, asses, I don't care if the ammo if gone, my gun HATES whitebox, so I'll stick to federal, and they don't carry any other caliber I need, sucks for others though.

Both Roseville's, Elverta, and the new Antelope have ammo. The new Antelope is very scarce though.

I think it depends on the Walmart. I bought some a month ago from the Brea and La Mirada store. Quick look at my CDL and off I go.

A short week-end road trip up I-5 will net you several WalMarts (Yuba City/Marysville,Willows, Chico, Paradise, Red Bluff, Redding, etc) that haven't pulled their ammo and have plenty of it. Get out of the city for a day and get some fresh air.

I just returned from the Marysville Wally World and they had plenty of ammo.

Revisiting this thread unsure if anyone has said anything about the Walmart in Santa Ana at Harbor and Mcfadden...they just pulled all their ammo last week.
