    Thanks for the help! Lol!

Yeah..I saw the list... But I'm not exactly sure if it's updated...isn't Valkyrie out of business? Plus I wanted to hear first hand experiences from anyone who went through a certain dealer. That's why I asked for a "good, trusted shop". You know...a recommendation??

Anyone else want to help and not be a smart ***?

I'm a little confused. Section 3 are the people who. "Do the work" to convert the gun to and from a SS but Section 4 are the "shops willing to accept transfers in this form". Could you explain that to me ? Do I need to buy a gun from one guy and then have another guy do the SSE? So confused.....

There is an extra charge if you have a gun shipped to them. $65 + DROS + tax.

Section 4 are dealers who do not do conversions internally, but will accept guns that have been pre-converted by another shop. Section 3 are shops who can do everything in house.

              Valkyrie Arms has been removed.
Own More Guns in Simi Valley has been added.

They're doing conversions and shipping them to CA? Or?

Oh yes, they will do the conversion to the sse requirements and ship to CA.

Which Ruger are you looking for?

Thanks! I'm currently talking with him right now about a couple of guns.

I couldn't find any information about this so if I'm repeating the question or in the wrong lobby I apologize. I've got a V53P that needs to go back to Vector for some work and they are willing to take care of it so no problems there. But the question I have is does it need to go back in SSE form for repairs or can it stay in fixed mag configuration? Don't want any issues with it so I was thinking SSE to be safe, I've still got the parts and no big deal to change it but one thing I am trying to avoid is having the mag well expand due the the plug that was used when I bought it. I had to carefully form it back into shape when I removed it to accept a fixed 10 round mag. Any thoughts?
                            Thanks

No you do not. Just make sure they mail it back to you and not a FFL. You should discuss this with Vector before sending it.

The SSE is only needed to DROS the firearm when the transfer is not exempt, such as a PPT. After that you can do what you want, as long as it is not considered a so-called a-salt weapon.

It can be sent in for repairs as long as it is CA legal.
