I'd like to find an XDs and XDm in 45.
If anyone has any leads in the Bay Area or a little travel I'm okay with it.

HAW1144,
Yes the 45 that way I dont have to worry about modifying the magazine. I am SSE'ing a XDS 45 right now. I live in West Sacramento so thats about a 2 hour drive for me hmmmm will keep that shop in mind. I sent an email to Tracy's to see if they could do it.Comment

Tracy can do it, I was just there on Tuesday. I missed out on an XDs by 1/2 an hour, it got sold.

I am waiting to hear back from the sales purchase trying to do this before the end of the year. I am working overseas so it may be a bit difficult for me but I am hoping they can work with me. I want the SS Xdm 3.8 Compact 45...Comment

As mentioned earlier, I got my XDM45 Compact from Toby's. He currently has an XDM45 for sale as well.

My XDM .45, 4.5" in bi-tone should be delivered to DAS today!
Hopefully I get the call to go in to sign the DROS and get this rolling. I purchased it online and had it shipped to them for SSE

Anyone know of another place in or around Sacramento that will allow you to ship in a xds 9mm for SSE work? The couple local places here will do the SSE work, but there is a waiting list and no guarantee I can get it before my CCW appointment in November.Comment

SSE
I heard that the SSE will be removed in 2014. Is there any truth to that?
Thanks.Comment

I don't know. I haven't heard or read that the SSE loophole has been closed.
Regardless I managed to buy an XDs 45 and also my wife ordered an XDm 45 and it will be here by the end of the week. I already have an XD 45. So we'll have 1 of each type in 45 now.

I heard that they are trying to close the SSE loophole, but I don't think it has been passed yet.Kemasa.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Single Shot Exemption...Removing the plug!
I've seen many on here including myself who are having problems removing their plug out of their gun after single shot exemption. So just in case no one has said this here goes... Just slide the top piece off your gun...the barrel will still be in it. Then my FFL Dealer uses 2 kinds of plugs. One just slides in and the other one slides in but also is screwed in. If you have the screw use a hex tool to unscrew it and pull the screw and metal piece out. Then all you have to do is push the mag release and the plug will come right out! Many of us were seeking answers as to how to remove the plug. They were trying everything including pliers. NO NEED!!!! I hope this helps!
