So I could have a OOS friend purchase an off-roster handgun in AZ make the modifications and then send it to my FFL to transfer to me?

You are in a thread about getting hand guns that are not on the doj roste by converting them to single shot,

Not a thread about everything that only shoots once.

this is a very interesting read. Its got me thinking.

If I wanted a custom 1911 that wasn't on the roster, I could order it as a "single-shot pistol with a barrel length of not less than six inches and that has an overall length of at least 10 1/2 inches when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled."

then, after taking possession, I could restore it to normal functionality?

          Is that correct?

Hi WCR I'm wondering if Wilson will ship non California compliant guns into the state via an approved (07 or 01) FFL for the purpose of Single Shot Exemption (SSE)? I realize this is a pretty complex question and you may not know the answer or be willing to answer on a public forum. But I thought I'd check. There's info on the SSE process for California at the below if you or anyone else has

pretty sure he was just a slow spammer. He had a couple posts like that that were close to being on topic, but I don't know if we was trying to up his post count or if he was trying to get his simily URLs ranked by google.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

They do not perform SSE on any pistols/handguns. They are only able to SSE rifles.

And for the list of SoCal FFL's that will accept SSE's, see below for strikeout of Insight Shooting Range. I just got off the phone with them and they told me no, they will not accept SSE transfers.

It's correct that Insight Shooting Range won't accept any SSE transfers. I visited Insight Shooting Range last week. I spoke to Mike, the Korean guy who is the owner. He made it very clear that he wouldn't accept any SSE transfers.

I'm assuming AR/AK pistols... or just breaking down rifles/converting to bullet button. OP has been updated.
