Which models to compare?

I know about the sig p365 but have zero knowledge of other sigs. I might be interested in getting a full size as a standard range gun (no CCW). Which sig model would compare with a Glock 17? What about 19?

Should I sell my Glock 19 and buy a Sig all metal. Will a Sig be as durable as Glock or more.
Can a Sig out live a Glock ? I find that a Sig 226 9mm is far more than accurate over Glock. What's your experience?

sig p226 = glock 17.
sig p229 = glock 19.

Both the Sig and the Glock will out-live you and your grandchildren.

Glocks have lower bore axis so it'll flip less than the Sig.

Sig is all-metal so it has less felt-recoil. Which means, your hand and wrist will feel less pain.

They're both inherently accurate. It's the Indian, not the arrow.

I would say they are both durable and reliable. Difference is the how the gun shoots and fills. To me I love a full metal gun I feel more balanced than a polymer type gun. I recommend if your on the fence to just go rent the gun you want. The best gun is one that fits the shooter.

This is actually a valid point, right now is a great time to sell guns... not so such a good time to buy them, so maybe buy the sig before selling the glock.

If it was a dead business model Beretta, CZ, HK, and Sig Sauer would've discontinued their DA/SA handguns a while ago. Even with their striker fired handguns entering the market they still hold strong followings for their DA/SA guns.

I'd also make the argument that they still hold value for helping revolver shooters transition into semi-automatic handguns; take the training they already have with double-action triggers and then make it easier for them by giving them a single-action trigger after the first shots been fired.
