    Sig vs Glock

Should I sell my Glock 19 and buy a Sig all metal. Will a Sig be as durable as Glock or more.
Can a Sig out live a Glock ? I find that a Sig 226 9mm is far more than accurate over Glock. What's your experience?

If the Sig p320 were on the roster, I’d be very interested in the full size. I’m not sure about DA/SA.

i would say both would survive more rounds than most people that don't complete would shoot in a lifetime.
while i only own sa/da sigs, one of them 28 years old, i would suggest the one you shoot better.

I say yes go to Sig. Polymer guns shoot much different than metal guns and you have to retrain yourself to shoot the Glock accurately so in theory polymer gun is much less accurate.

I personally rather pick a gun up and shoot it and not worry about how it shoots etc

Also I find gripping a Glock is a pain in the *** and since I have small hands I can't use the gun

I own both, I don't think I'd get rid of one for the other.

The Sig to me is more refined and shoots just a bit smoother for me. That is probably due to a lot more trigger time with it than the Glock.

That being said the Glock is my carry gun weather permitting. It was purchased for that sole reason. I just couldn't stand the though of some hack evidence tech etching a case number into my W. German 226 should I ever have to use it.

A glock is more accurate than you.

Save up the money and buy the Sig later, keep the Glock.

I can shoot a Sig P220/226/229/2022 more accurately than my G19; however, that's also because I got thrown into the proverbial deep end and got raised shooting DA/SA handguns growing up, so I just got used to it. I can still put the entire magazine from a Glock 19 into a 4 inch circle at 25 yards, I just have to aim at the left side of the target to get it there since my shots group to the right every time I shoot a striker fired handgun, whereas my Sig's centerpunch the target every time.

Accuracy of a gun? Here we go again!

For the majority of us - the accuracy is in the hands of the shooter... And as already mentioned, most handguns out there are more accurate than the shooter.

I have seen shooters with Glocks beat [also] experienced shooters with Sig X5 Legions... I have seen shooters that hit steel silhouettes at 240-yards offhand with a Glock 19...

To answer your question - keep the G19 and get a Sig... Shoot them both... Then figure out for yourself.

mostly true, but differences in hands, anatomy and the grip angles of the glock vs p-series sigs means that you aren't comparing apples to apples, even taking sa/da or striker fired out of the equation.
some people can shoot a p226 well, and not a 92f.
some people love the grip angle of the glock and some don't.

If the P320 was on roster, I'd get a CZ P10C.

I’ve shot a couple of Sig P226s. They are definitely nice, easier to shoot, and more accurate if you’re a new shooter. They are also twice the price of a Glock. If I carried a gun for work I would definitely get the P226. It’s a nice gun.

My Glock 17 shoots just fine for home defense and going to the range. It’s pretty accurate too. With the money that I saved by not buying the Sig, I got a Glock 20 and I’m getting a Glock 21 once they’re available again. I have a feeling that I’ll probe buying a Sig someday too.

I say keep the G19 and buy the Sig when you save the money. With the recent gun shortage, Covid-19, and the riots it just shows that one gun probably isn’t enough.
