So, what if the CA7 was categorized as a "Single Shot" rather than "Bolt Action" on the on DROS and processed & picked up already? Would it be a hard negative to turn it into a CA legal semi-auto?

Nothing would change the fact this pistol was certified safe by a state approved lab. The misprint on the DROS will have no effect on the actual product.

As of today, I can confirm that the second CA7 (with the Magpul magazine) is also recorded as a bolt action repeater on the system.

Thank you for the info. That'll help clear things up for others.

Is a collapsible brace allowed on this?

So no conversion allowed. Still fun? Tempting.

                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Some people don't like to read previous posts
"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

Read all 23. It seems to be back and forth. So yeah, not sure why I asked.

Finally coming around to removing the stock pistol tube off my CA7. Any tips or advice on how to make it an easier process?
