Remind me again..... for the training requirements is it better to send a copy of my current CA CCW permit? Or should I use the 16hr CCW training class certificate that I also have? Is one better to use than the other?
    Send both. Can't hurt.

      I wonder what happened??
The Permitium system seems new. On my initial application some years ago, it took about ten days from the date I posted the application until I received the permit in the mail. Wow! That was fast!

On my renewal the first quarter of this year, the turn around was about 90 days, extending until after my expiration. I emailed on status at about 60 days, and got an auto reply response that they are processing in the order received. At about 75 days, I called and spoke to staff. They checked around and put me on hold several times, and eventually told me they were moving my application into formal review. A few days later, I received the txt and voice mail approval message, then received the card in the mail a few days later.

The folks I spoke with were all friendly and helpful. I do believe my application simply fell through a crack, so I was glad I called to check the status.

Next time, I will submit 90 days before my expiration.

4 months after starting the renewal process I still do not have my card in hand. My "replacement" order for the card that was never shipped lost in the mail has not even been assigned to anyone.

So I guess I will call again Monday. I need this permit for an upcoming Vegas trip...

Something has seriously gone off the rails in AZ. I am sure it has nothing to do with their Democrap Governor though

started my az on 5/28 and received card on 6/14

I wanted to call in and wait to speak with an operator, in order to verify they had my prints etc. She was nice enough to confirm and also push my permit thru. pretty darn quick!

I used my Ca ccw info and a local lab they recommended for print roll

Anyone request a replacement card? I applied online for replacement and paid the fee on 06/04, got an email confirming they've received payment but have not heard anything. I logged on today and it shows, "assigning to processor". Never thought a replacement would take 2 weeks...

Mine took two months and I had to call them. I almost think it's the intended process...their way of making sure that you really want it. But who knows.

Just went through the new application process again since my previous AZ permit expired in 2021.

05/31/24 - App submitted through Permitium (Paid $62.28)
06/03/24 - Fingerprints done at FieldPrint (Paid $10.25)
06/17/24 - Called AZDPS for an update
                  06/18/24 - Received approval email & text
06/24/24 - Received permit in the mail

Not too bad of a process from start to finish in approx 3 weeks.

Just call AZ DPS and then please let us know two things:

                    1) When you receive your replacement CWP!
                    2) Does your replacement CWP retain the same permit number?

I emailed them the day I made this post and for some strange reason the email never went through. I got an automated reply email saying, "Delivery not complete, Message not delivered. The recipient server did not accept our request to connect". This is the first ever that I've seen. Something on their end probably.

I've been so busy the last couple of weeks this completely slipped my mind. I'll call them later today and report back.

I applied for a Arizona non resident CCW permit on 3/30/24. Paid the fees and went down and got my fingerprints a week later. I haven't heard anything. I sent a email and got a auto response basically saying that they will review my app as fast as possible. IDK if they just have a lot of apps, but I thought all apps had to be approved or denied with in 75 days? So I haven't been able to carry at all since 4/28/24. Both apps are taking a long time

I would call them and see what the status is. Sometimes that also helps expedite the process.

Yes, I did this morning and I should of a lot sooner. I made a mistake on my applications. So I had to fix it and call them back. I did with in a hour and got my ccw approved! its being mailed out tomorrow morning. The guy send that they are approving or denying within 4 weeks on there apps. So that helps . If its longer then 4 weeks call and check up. They are very nice.
