If you don’t mind sharing, how far out from your end of permit did you submit?

about a month. Would suggest 5-6 weeks as being optimum.

I see other people are getting the okay to pickup relatively quick after training. Did training with Dobbs who handled the certificate of completion, and haven’t heard anything yet.

Well that I cannot answer as I always get the certificate myself and have to upload it through the online application.

Yeah I wish they had given me the certificate. They sent an unsigned copy to me digitally to sign. The message attached said they would file it with the sheriffs once I digitally signed. Hopefully it will be soon, I was expecting closer to the 60 days anyways, and then saw people were getting it much sooner. Oh well, at least I have gotten this far. Thanks again for the information

Anyone recently renew and can give me an eta? Let my permit lapse for a month (preggo wife + 2 toddlers is my excuse) and I summitted the packet on the 13th.

Got my renewal last month. Took me about 4 weeks to get it once it was submitted.

5/29/21 - Submitted application
7/13/21 - Interview with Deputy Pinder along with Livescan.

Was advise to wait until I receive an email for the next step. It was stated, DOJ is backed up on livescan processing, so there may be a delay.

Hey what’s up. The interview was very painless. Deputy Pinder was very straight forward...basically reviews the questions that were asked on the initial application. Additionally, if there is anything that you’d like to add on with those questions, you are able to at the time.

Key questions: drug use, restraining orders, has police ever been called to your residence, any issues with neighbors etc, traffic incidents and citations within the last 5 years, ever been arrested even if file has been expunged etc.

Is it best to wait to closer to the 60-days in advance window, or to just to submit it as soon as possible? Also, in regards to renewal training courses...do I complete this training BEFORE I submit my application for renewal so I can submit my certificate of completion immediately, or do I wait for a "proceed to train" like with my initial permit?

Complete training first and then reapply within the 60-90 day window.

Yes fold it half and in my wallet it stays.

I think you need to contact Deputy Pinder, I suspect you will need to file a police report for lost license and he will need a copy of that.

I recall someone else having this issue.
