Today: 11/9/2021 - No updates in 7 months after live scan. I was told back in June 2021 that my file is under review at this time and today 11/9/2021 that still my file is under review at this time.

Anyone else having to wait this long? Seems as if Im being delayed purposely. I notice many others who applied later than me be approved in just a few months.

Mine took awhile. There were five individuals in my class that also had long waiting periods. Sometimes it's like that, just be patient...you'll get there.

He's been more than patient. If this was a commercial business they would be out of business. Why don't we know what the status of our application is at every point in the process. There should be a public database posted of the average number of days it takes from Application Start Date to Acceptance/Denial Date. There should also be numbers posted of the number of individuals who have have been granted their CCW permit on what would be considered a Fast Track and also the number of applicants who fall outside of the average number of days for Approval/Denial > 25 Days. Without this visibility the public has no idea what is going on and we can't compare our County's process to other Counties.

5/29/21 - Submitted application
7/13/21 - Interview with Deputy Pinder along with Livescan.
9/12/21 - Received email to proceed with training course. “The second review of your application for a concealed-carry weapon license is complete”

11/13 Training course.
11/14 Submitted certification.
12/6 Paid and pick up permit.

I recommend anyone doing their interview be as truthful or possible. Nobody expects that you were a saint and didn't get into any fights when you were a young adult/kid.

Finally received my Authorization to Proceed for Training today from the Solano County Sheriff. Here's my numbers:

CCW In Person Interview Scheduled for 9-9-2021
CCW Phone Interview Instead on 9-7-2021
Live Scan Done on 9-9-2021
Authorization to Proceed for CCW Training 12-8-2021

Application Start Date to Today's Date (8-9-2021 --> 12-8-2021) = 121 Days

Number of Days from Live Scan Date to Authorization to Proceed for Training (9-9-2021 --> 12-8-2021) = 90 Days

Next Milestone is to schedule training, pass training and wait for my training credentials to be approved.
