 CCW Restrictions

Not sure if it is on the permit or just one of the items that was signed agreement on but you are not allowed armed in Bars that are not also a restraunt. Being under the influence and using your firearm is a bad idea. That allows for questioning of the decision making process due to ones impariment.

Thanks but.. My question is not about decision making, good idea/bad idea. There is no law in CA. that says no CCW in bars, unless you can point it out to me. But again, the question was about restrictions listed on the Solano permit. Alcohol/ bars were just IE... I understand what it says on the application about alcohol. Many states allow CCW in bars. My understanding is that if not listed on the permit, then there are no restrictions. Not sure if it is on the permit or just one of the items that was signed agreement on but you are not allowed armed in Bars that are not also a restraunt. I was under the impression that the Sheriff had (Conditions) for issuance. One of which was not being armed in an establishment that only sells Alcohol. Understanding this is not the same thing as the PC but I would think that if that were a CONDITION which was violated the permit could be revoked.

Now all of this is water if I'm misunderstanding the OP question. I have done so once already so anything is possibleComment

Well this is from the application currently posted on the SCSO website. I believe this is the standard CA application and might even be from the PC. Nevertheless, these should be basic knowledge for anyone that carries with a permit.

When restrictions are printed on your permit they are typically things beyond whats posted above. Things like, "Cannot carry while working at Century21" or similar. I remember someone getting a CCW because he collects rent for a certain job and the permit restricted him from carrying while working that job. While exercising the privileges granted to the licensee under the terms of this license, the licensee shall not, when carrying a
 concealed weapon:
 - Consume any alcoholic beverage.
- Be in a place having a primary purpose of dispensing alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption.
- Be under the influence of any medication or drug, whether prescribed or not.
- Refuse to show the license or surrender the concealed weapon to any peace officer upon demand.
- Impede any peace officer in the performance of his/her duties.
- Present himself/herself as a peace officer to any person unless he/she is, in fact, a peace officer as defined by California law.
- Unjustifiably display a concealed weapon.
- Carry a concealed weapon not listed on the permit.
- Carry a concealed weapon at times or circumstances other than those specified in the permit.

I believe Sacramento and other counties have a restriction printed on their permit something to the effect of "Not valid while in places that primarily sell alcohol or something similar to that. Basically, IA's can write any type of restrictions on the permits.Well this is from the application currently posted on the SCSO website. Yes, the app is the standard CA app. As you see below, the bar/ alcohol piece is not PC. Not sure about the rest of the info on the app. I wouldn't recommend CCW'ing in a bar while drinking in CA. You will probably lose your permit if caught. Or you may lose your life if you decide to abide. I remember reading about the couple in Nashville who were CCW's. She worked in a bar running karaoke venues. She followed the law and left her weapon in her vehicle but her stalker did not abide. He shot and killed her husband and tried to kill her as well. There are other stories like this. The text below is from the forum "where can i legally carry"
 Alcohol and places that sell/serve

While not a 'place' per se, California law is silent regarding LTC and alcohol.

Some issuing agencies impose restrictions; LTC holders, as always, are bound by restrictions on their licenses.
