What, exactly, is reviewed in this last review. Seems like the LiveScan review would be the "make or break" review.

I think it has more to do with having the Sheriff available to sign off. I imagine processing CCW's is only one of many jobs he/they do. I stopped trying to figure out how long each step takes a long time ago. I know it's hard for some, but its gonna take only as long as its gonna take.

I would imagine all the calls and emails they get simply to check status don't help either.

awesome, since we did everything the same day, I hope my letter is in the mail today. Sucks that I dont get off of work until 9 tonight. Brutal wait, haha

There is no problem. Kellie will pull your DMV record and verify your address has been changed. I suppose you still don't believe me so I suggest you contact her directly. I don't know how many ways I can tell you the same thing.

No, it's not that I don't believe you. Kellie has always been very helpful and accommodating. But after dealing with some of California's bureaucratic nonsense in getting the permit issued and modified in the past, I now like to have double contingency plans in case of any unforeseen problem where I might need something on paper.

Since my initial application, I bought another carry gun so I am going to add that when I take the class on Wednesday.

Does anyone know how late you can turn in your targets during the day?

I think you have to make an appointment first. I don't believe you can just drop off your targets.

No appointment needed to drop targets. Just leave them with front desk. Needs to be during hours front desk is open.

For those that have renewed, do you have to do a good cause statement each time? Did you just use the same one that you used the first time?

I have to admit I used my first good cause twice... actually photo copied it. Kelly was not particularly impressed. She had just been hired I believe I was one of the first she ever had re-issued. My lazy self explained to her that really nothing had really changed. Don't do what I did. Last time re-did it but essentially said the same thing in good cause.

UPDATE:

Got an e-mail from Kellie on Thursday that my CCW permit is signed and ready to setup an appointment for pickup!

...only problem is, I'm out of state/town for the next month and a half! Oh well, at least I know it's there waiting for me when I get back!
