Don't worry about the dmv proof just make sure you register the change on the dmv website. They will see it when they pull your record. I went through the same thing a few months ago.

Really? Cause the instructions said to bring the proof yourself. Don't want to show up missing something. Especially since we have to make an appointment at Solano Sheriff just to drop off the paperwork heh.

I know exactly what the instructions say. DMV doesn't give you anything when you change your address (maybe if you do it at the DMV). All you can do online is check back after a few days to check the status of the address change. She candidly acknowledged this when I provided the DMV printout as the best "proof" I knew how to provide, given the above.

She had the same printout as me in her stack of papers.

I contacted DMV. And they tell me that I can get a replacement license with the new address instead of that brown card if I want. It's just a small fee and a wait time for delivery via USPS. So that would seem to solve the problem.

            Solve what problem?

There is no problem. Kellie will pull your DMV record and verify your address has been changed. I suppose you still don't believe me so I suggest you contact her directly. I don't know how many ways I can tell you the same thing.

For those that have been denied. Did you guys hire an attorney to help with the appeal? Or did you do it on your own?

No, I just put together an appeal and that was denied also. I even had a letter of recommendation in it from a leo and that didn't help, he only approves if you're squeaky clean.

The day has finally arrived. Picked up my CCW permit this morning. Going to take my LCP out for a date night, maybe I'll bring the wife too. Overall it's been a positive experience thanks to Kellie and the Solano deputies. Total time from application to reciept was 4mos 26days, not terrible considering the way it was. For the next in line, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

                      Woo hoo! Congratulations.

Waaayyyy shorter than my journey, so maybe the pace is picking up.

It puts a smile on my face to legally carry in some of the very liberal areas I go every day.

Thanks, AZ permit went in the mail today. UT class this weekend at the Marriot in Fairfield. Now I'm considering taking the wife to a romantic B&B across the boarder in Oregon (via the Klamath sheriff's office).

I got my AZ packet this week...where did you go to get the paper fingerprint cards done? That seems to be the only thing I really need to get at this point.

I got mine done at UPS Store in Benicia. Just make sure to call them first to make sure she is working that day. It was $10 per card if I remember.
