I have a feeling we will be in the waiting room on the same day at the same time. And that day is not soon enough. When Monday rolls around, we will both be on our 4th week since dropping off our targets and certification of training. So heres to hoping the weekend flies by without incident and we get the call on Monday.

Same here. It's been 4 weeks this coming week since I dropped off my address/weapons change form along with the targets. There'll be a queue that day in the lobby to talk to Kellie.

Just as I suspected, Kellie called me today and told me it was ready for pickup. I'll be picking it up Wednesday.

Rumor Mill permit process on hold

My fellow Solano CCW holders. There is no truth to the rumor the Sheriff's Office is holding back on permits. Like every one of us Kellie, Deputy Pinder and the Sheriff take vacations, attend in service training or are otherwise out of the office from time to time. I have it on good authority the Sheriff's Office is working on packets and processing them. We just have to remember when one or more of them are out the process will slow a bit until they return.

Hope it goes well for you. I picked up mine today with my new home address. Apparently someone made a typo on one of my guns' serial numbers and fixed it with correction tape. I asked Kellie if it was still valid and she said it was. Just hope if I ever have to present it to a peace officer, that he/she will not think I made that correction using white-out.

The confusing part is that my application already passed the initial review and the live scan. What else would the powers to be need to review that takes five weeks ? Once it gets back on the Sheriffs desk it should be a done deal.

agree 100% I want to ask her but I dont want to bother her again. At 2.5 weeks , she said it would be 3-4 weeks. Now it has been 5. Its your turn to ask her, lmao

Well I actually made the call instead of emailing today to make sure that she had received my qualification and targets since tomorrow makes 5 weeks. She politely said basically they are getting to them as fast as they can and did receive mine. So at least I know she got it. She reminded me that it takes 3-4 business weeks for them to call. I am not sure how that is longer than 5 seven day regular weeks but what can I really say. I am off the next two days so I hoping to get this handled.

Well about to roll 6 weeks. I knew there were long wait times between actions but this was one I didn't expect.

Well I finally got the email. Permit is signed. Only down side is no appointments available until oct 29th and I am in vegas that day. If I was going alone, I would have cancelled the trip, so Nov 5th at 930am I will have my permit in hand.

5/19 dropped off application and interview
5/29 received approval letter
6/4 live scan appt
9/4 received my doj approval letter
9/9 took class and dropped off targets
10/16 got email saying permit has been signed.
11/5 pick up permit.
